Our room was on the ground floor which was ok. However upon entering the room, it was very tiny. The bathroom shower and floor were filthy! I can't even guess at the last time it was cleaned. The water did not drain from the shower. The drain was all corroded with rust. We had to wear sandals whenever in the bathroom. The sink was too small and not enough towels provided. There were bugs in the room as well. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. The pool was dirty as well. Save your money and stay somewhere else!!!!!
We came to Waikiki Village motel excited to have a nice family stay. Did not go as planned. First of all, the smell of marijuana was all you got when you walked out into the balcony area. The room wasn’t cleaned very well— in fact there were areas of stickiness all throughout the carpet. The sink faucet was loose and wobbly. We had to sanitize everything ourselves. We were rationed towels and washcloths and when we requested more (on day 3), we were given enough for only 3 of us because that’s ‘all they had’. We didn’t get the option to have daily maid service for our room. The website shows a picture of a nice pool center of the property that would’ve been perfect for our children. Our first day we found out that the pool hadn’t had a health dept inspection so it wasn’t open yet— the website made NO MENTION of this caveat and had it, we would’ve chosen another place to stay. We even considered canceling our stay but we’re not able to find any other vacancies. Extremely disappointing.…
Waikiki Village Myrtle Beach. We were very disappointed with the room, bathrooms needed much repair the room smells the curtains are dirty was not at all close to the reviews that I read. I would definitely not suggest staying there. The wood is rotted all around the outside of the building. Needs a lot of updating. The office was even a mess with boxes everywhere the desk was a piece of wood and wires everywhere from the computers and phones
Currently staying here, just wanted to make sure we got this review in! The hotel is a little hidden gem, you can tell some care went into renovating this property; and my mother and I are very happy that we went with this motel. (last minute trip) the interior of the room really surprised us! SO CUTE! And the lobby area is very chic as well. Shoutout to the front desk guy, Jack, for being super helpful and sweet. Would recommend this joint to anyone wanting to stay in a cute, comfy and well located place!
Our 1st room had not been cleaned. Our 2nd room had roaches and we were told it’s a problem on the ground floor because they come in under the doors. Our 3rd room was very cold and we could not get the heater to stay on. At that point I went to the front desk and said we did not want to stay. I was told to contact Expedia for a refund. When Expedia called the property, they denied the room issue. They also processed a bill that said we checked out at 2:30 pm the next day. Poor experience and dishonest management, I’d steer clear despite the hip decor trying to cover it up.
