This hotel is in nice area- close to everything. My husband and I stayed here at two separate occasions in November. The first room was 80% of ceiling to floor window views and beach front and the second room was 50% with a beach view. Both rooms were nice but I definitely loved the 80% more because of the view. The room was a tad dated and really dusty in some areas but it didn't take away from the beautiful views and wonderful time we had! There was a large parking lot conveniently located across the street from the hotel. There wasn't much going on as far as restaurant or spa at this spot but the possibilities are endless in this area so I'm sure you'll find whatever you're in search of. We would definitely stay here again!
oceans one resort has, for many years, been our winter retreat during our retirement years - and for good reason. this facility continues to offers a commanding view of the ocean from all balconies, modern decor, both interior and exterior pools, ample parking, a central location, and approachable, friendly and informative staff. this year our stay was interrupted by COVID-19 and we had to return to canada before we completed our stay. we were very disappointed. we look forward to returning to oceans one resort as soon as international travel bans are lifted so that we can renew friendships and make new acquaintances.
There were many reviews about the lack of cleanliness of the property and the rooms. Before I checked in I was allowed the opportunity to see the room- it was perfect. The amenities were as described, it was clean, and up to date. The views- so worth it. We stayed in a unit type 14 - a 2 bed room condo on the 9th floor. The staff was very helpful and there were grounds staff cleaning all the time. The pool areas and outside seating is fantastic. There is a seating area with a fire pit. The beach is steps away. I would definitely come back.
This place used to be top notch. Recently there has been a new owner and/or a new management company in charge. It’s gone completely down hill and they allow pretty much anything to go on there. Parties, smoking, loud and disruptive late nights, obvious marijuana use all over the place. The unit we had was dirty and half the lights didn’t even have light bulbs and the a/c was shot and the phones didn’t work. We repeatedly asked for another room but the request was denied even though the resort was barely occupied. Why they put the 20 renters all on the same two floors of a 21 story building is beyond me. The staff isn’t unfriendly but they have the same “I just want a paycheck” attitude of your average fast food worker. If I had never stayed there before I would have rated it higher at a 2 but it’s dropped so far from the nice place it once was.…
