Can not say enough good things about this place. It was perfect in every way. I could move in and stay forever. If you need to disconnect and recharge there is no better place. Great location between Landrum and Tryon. I was closer to town than my drive to work everyday. Lots of antique stores, shops and wonderful food. Went... More

Barbara greeted my wife and me upon arrival and was kind enough to show us around her beautiful farm. We brought Tucker (our Beagle) who was enchanted by all her horses. He was as welcomed a guest as the two of us. Our 23 pound little boy bayed like a typical beagle to remind all of us who was in... More

We really enjoyed having you visit our farm and getting a chance to relax. Tucker was so adorable baying at those big scary creatures (the horses), but I think it was quite an exciting adventure for him. We're so glad that you all enjoyed your stay Thank you for taking the time to write a review. More

Barbara welcomed us from the first moment we walked on the farm. She made us feel like family and helped us navigate the local area in a way we couldn't have done without her expertise. The Lady Bug Room had a peaceful, pastoral view of the horse pasture and adjacent mountain. The accommodations were quiet and comfortable.

Wanted to stay at a relaxing, serene place where we could watch the horses and wildlife. We stayed in the Ladybug Guesthouse which had a porch, and the horses could come withing 6 ft. of it. The guest house was very comfortable. There were also chickens in the barn, and we were able to cook their eggs for breakfast. Our... More

After a warm welcome by Barbara the owner, we settled into our lovely accommodation and enjoyed refreshments on the porch with a meadow view. There were deer and wild turkeys and horses! Barbara provided the wine and supplied fresh eggs from the farm for our breakfast. This special retreat is even prettier than the photographs. Pets are allowed and the... More

We spent the weekend at the Barking Fox while attending a wedding. We were just astonished at the little cottage - beautifully appointed, lots of room - a must stay if in the area! Then horses, wild turkeys and deer! The owners - Bill and Barbara just the best! Private, sweet, PERFECT! BOOK IT!

Five of us stayed here for the weekend and had both cottages. It was perfect! Beautiful peaceful setting on a wonderful horse farm just minutes from town and the Fence Foothill Equestrian Nature Center. The rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated with antiques and oriental rugs. We could not have asked for anything more. One of the most peaceful... More
