We rented a 3 bedroom villa for our family for the last week of July. The cottage was perfect for ourselves, 3 year old twins and 5 year old. It was very well appointed and allowed us to cook meals in with food picked up at the fabulous Fresh Fields store within minutes of the house (easier than dining out... More

This was our first time to The Sanctuary. It met all of our expectations. It was clean, friendly staff, very accomodating to our 2 boys and just a great place to relax. We are not golfers so we didn't get to experience the courses. We didn enjoy riding our bikes on the beach, diving in the waves and relaxing by the... More

The Sanctuary and Kiawah Island are two very well kept secrets in the USA. The Sanctuary is a top rated and top performing hotel in the South...and Kiawah Island is so beautifully kept and clean..what a delight to be in nature and at the same time in luxury..not a bad thing to say about our 7 night trip.

The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island is excellent. It is not inexpensive (but then few great, luxury resorts are), but the property is beautifully maintained, the rooms are spacious and comfortable with beautiful views, and the service is exceptional. I had my first visit back in 2008 with a group of 8 girlfriends celebrating a 40th Birthday. I returned this June... More

After owning a home on Kiawah and selling it 10 years ago, we enjoyed our first trip back to the island since the sale. The Sanctuary wasn't even built yet, so we were thrilled to find this world-class hotel on the island. It lived up to its reputation! We enjoyed a fabulous stay in this beautifully appointed hotel. The service... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights at The Sanctuary for our Honeymoon. The staff was courteous and treated us like royalty the entire time. From the food, to the spa, to the rooms, everything was perfection. The highlight was dinner at the Atlantic room. We ate at sunset and were seated at one of the "couch tables" which was... More

My wife and I are well travelled and have stayed in many fine hotels and resorts. This ranks with the best of them. The service is positively amazing - among the best we have experienced.
