Mrs Mary Shaw is the innkeeper and she is very special. This is the place to stay in Georgetown! Rooms are very nice, view of the marsh from the porch is spectacular, and so is Mrs Shaw. Two couples, great stay, great breakfast! Thank you, Mrs Shaw!

The Shaw House was absolutely amazing. Southern hospitality at its core. Mary is a wonderful lady. Minutes to Historic Georgetown and short car ride to enjoy the beaches on Pawleys Island. We enjoyed our time and we will be back and will continue to stay at the Shaw House!

“What a house”, is the first thing that came to our minds when we arrived at our bed and breakfast in Georgetown, a small town on the South Carolina coast, about halfway between Myrtle Beach and Charleston. Joe and Mary Shaw, both in their early nineties already (!), have been running their house as a b&b for a couple of...

This is a great value and beautiful place to stay in Georgetown. The host and hostess are very kind, sweet people. I'd recommend this place to anyone. The house is full of interesting antiques. Rooms are extremely comfortable.

Nice couple, nice rooms, friendly town. My cousin and I stayed here, each of us having a room, the beds were good. There are TVs in the bedrooms if you aren't too tired from wandering about town. Interesting breakfast, all served on one plate.

The innkeepers, Mary and Joe, are just an absolute delight. One could not receive any better true southern hospitality then what they offer each guest. It is a bit cluttered and could us a little bit of clean up and paint, but the couple truly invites you into their home and make you feel so very welcome and that is...

Yes, it's cluttered and there's no separate guest spot. But I stayed here before coming to live in Georgetown for a time, and Mary and Joe could not have been sweeter. Totally interested in me and my life, they did seem like a new elderly Southern aunt and uncle. I ended up settling in the neighborhood and Mary came to...

I felt exactly like I was visiting my aunt and uncle. The aunt and uncle who loved me; were always glad to see me and made me feel at home. The ones who always had time to sit down, talk and spend time with me. The same ones who had the time to spend with me because they let their...

As mentioned by another reviewer every flat surface had something on it. The plumbing was a bit dated and the room had a slight mustiness. Probably due to the fact that the house seems to ajoin a wetlands area. The breakfast was not much better than hotel breakfast. I did choose this rather than a hotel due to it being...
