The room had roaches crawling the walls. The tv didn't work. I asked my friend to call the desk to get some help while I showered. The tub had hair(guess what type) & the ceiling had old tile that was nearly falling into the tub. My friend informed me that she couldn't call the desk because the phone didn't work...

My room was very clean each day. Good portion of room was updated. (Except chair and bathroom ceiling) Liked having a fridge and microwave without paying extra. Enjoyed the grounds. Enjoyed my stay. Centrally located. Access to all attractions. Grateful for accommodating my need for first floor. All in all great stay.

Stayed for a family event, receptionist very rude, ceiling tiles in bathroom were stained from obvious water leak from upstairs, broken or half way falling. Not all lights worked in room and pool water had a strange color.

The hotel itself was rather old and in need of repairs but had just been taken over by a new management team with work underway to modernize. The staff at the front desk were fantastic. They offered local advice on the best places to eat and visit while we were there. We appreciated getting our money's worth from those suggestions.

The good things: Great service and people who work here. Beautiful scenery and access to a dock and swimming pool. Cheaper than the hotels in town. The bad things: very noisy AC, and very uncomfortable bed. Slept in a valley. Won't stay here again.

We stayed here in 2014, but our review didn't get through somehow. So sorry about that. We truly enjoyed our stay. The manager Deidra was very helpful, so sweet and kind. The room was clean and in good condition. We did a roadtrip along the East Coast, so we were on a budget, and the price fit us perfect. We...

Spend the extra $10 - $15 and go down the street to the Holiday Inn. Moldy shower curtains, damp carpets, scarred chipped and ripped furniture. The pool was GREEN with algae! Bed frames were bigger than the mattresses, I kept walking into the sharp edges. Its the kind of place where you don't want to walk around the room barefoot.

Our visit was nice, quiet, and uneventful. We were only minutes away from all the things you visit Charleston for. We enjoyed the view of the marsh and creek when coming and going from the room. The continental breakfast included a mini Belgium waffle maker and biscuits with sausage gravy, fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, OJ, milk and a great selection...

If I could give it less I would. We travelled 10 hours. We get to the hotel and the air conditioner had busted in the room and the carpet had to be cleaned that day. The guy took us to the room. It stunk!! My husband is an asthmatic. There's no way we could stay all week in that room....
