Stayed here the night prior to our cruise with my daughter and mother-in-law. The old building with all the old architectural features is just beautiful. The hotel staff, from the valet to the desk clerk to the breakfast staff were all just so welcoming! Embassy Suites delivers again, as usual.

I was on a business trip and wanted to be close to all that Charleston had to offer. Embassy Suites is right in the middle of it all. I only slept here since I was out with meetings and sight seeing all day and all night. The sleeping conditions were comfortable. I travel alot and I have the same issue...

I stayed at this Embassy Suites for one night while in town on business. The hotel resembles a pink castle and does not look anything like a typical Embassy Suites. The lobby area was beautiful with a wood floor and overstuffed couches. This Embassy Suites did an excellent job of capturing a sense of place which is unusual for a...

The common areas of this hotel are very nice and well tended to. The staff at the hotel are exceptional however, the individual rooms are very worn and tired. The carpet is dirty, walls are stained and the smell of mildew is strong. Construction starts behind the hotel at 0430 and is loud until the sun goes down. Rooms need...

The front desk staff, especially Francis, provided excellent customer service. The valets were very welcoming and helpful as well. Our suite was better than expected, with a whirlpool tub, which I had not booked--a pleasant surprise given the amount of walking we do when we visit Charleston. The decor of the hotel could use some updating, however cleanliness was good....

My husband and I visited Charleston SC over Thanksgiving on our way to visit with relatives. We stated at the Embassy Suites because of the location. We were very pleased with our choice. We arrived late and we didn't care for our room due to its location. The following day we mentioned this to the staff and they went out...

We stayed for two nights on our "snowbird" flight from ME to FL after stopping for a few days with family in VA for Thanksgiving. The hotel is in a refurbished historic structure and has a great deal of ambiance and character that one would expect of such a great space...extra high ceilings, exposed brick walls, ornate staircases, grand chandeliers,...

Dear Lynne_n_Steve, Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. I'm so happy that you enjoyed your time in Charleston. I can't apologize enough for the construction noise behind the hotel. We are hoping this is coming to an end as they are wrapping up the exterior of the building now. We hope that you will give us...

My husband and I loved this hotel! The rooms are a little outdated, but that is expected for a hotel this old. The breakfast was good and the fountain area was beautiful! It is in a great location and you can walk to The Market and to all sorts of restaurants! They also just built a cat cafe called Pounce...

You already know this is a historic old building and it's location on Marion Square is perfect. The Saturday market (through November) is charming to walk through. There is no onsite free parking so factor $34 for the weekend at the nearby garage (typical for many downtown hotels). All of the best cocktail bars and restaurants are within a 5...
