What a great location, with a lovely courtyard and kind, attentive service. We love that it has a separate sitting area and kitchen, which makes for a very relaxing vacation right in the middle of downtown Charleston.

We stayed here for 7 days on a timeshare exchange. The location could not be better if you want to explore historic Charleston. Walk to everywhere....beautiful neighborhoods, historic sites, great restaurants. Carriage rides, harbor cruise, walking tours and more within walking distance. Rooms are mini townhouse style with kitchen. Would say it could use a little TLC but still gets... More

The Church Street Inn is located half a block off of Market Street in Charleston, which is in the heart of the Historic District and convenient to excellent restaurants, fun activities, and the Battery. The property is strangely vertical: a narrowish reception area gives onto a long stairway up to the second floor (there's also an elevator), and in my... More

Other than a nice four poster bed and location this hotel is TIRED and in need of some serious money spending on it. They knew 3 of us were travelling but expected us to make up the extra bed ourselves. Décor is tired and rooms in need of decorating. Fixtures and fittings grubby looking. Not a nice place at all.

My wife and I stayed for three days at Church Street Inn. We were in town for a wedding. You can't beat the location of this hotel. It's right on the Historic Market and just a quick walk away from so many other great historical buildings or good places to eat. The room was big. Our room was a two... More

this is our first stay and will not be the last. Room is nice and spacious with 1 1/2 baths, kitchen, sitting area, and a separate bedroom. Great location since adjacent to the Market area and in the heart of the Historic District. Only thing stopping me from giving it a 5 rating is that room smells a little musty... More

This is in a great location and we walked everywhere last week! However, there was an odor in our room upon check in (smelled like cigarette smoke room 226 although this Inn is smoke free) and it delayed our checking in for an hour. Was a tough start to a long drive we'd taken to get there. Once we got... More

For closeness to the historic district, this Inn can't be beat. Our unit for the week was a 1 BR, with 1.5 baths. With the free trolley and the walking-distances to most other attractions, we hardly ever used the car. Staff was courteous, efficient, and friendly, especially "Tyrone" the bellman. This was our 2nd stay, and we'll be back!

We had a 3 night stay and enjoyed this hotel. The location is great and the staff were very good. For walking around Charleston this site is great. Our room was a little used up, paint and simple fix-up would cure. Our room was 2 levels, like have a small suite. I would stay again.
