This hotel is a little run down and could use some updating, particularly for nearly $400 per night. I understand the challenges presented by Covid but they could do a better job with the breakfast and with housekeeping. The location is good and the outdoor courtyard is nice.

Hotel's Favourite
A pal of mine and I wanted to go away for a few days, just us girls. We went to this hotel in Charleston and were very pleased with the service and amenities. I want to emphasize just how friendly the staff members were. WOW. Just WOW.

The hotel was not quite up to usual Hampton standards. The bathtub in our room was almost completely stopped up and any maid would have noticed. The hair dryer was extremely sticky and gross, especially in a time of COVID. The staff was great, however, and I would give them a 5 out of 5. Had a problem as we were leaving with a random person driving into the parking garage actually getting out of his car and screaming at my husband because we were temporarily parked in a no-parking zone to try to load our luggage. All of the parking spaces were either taken up by a huge bus or other vehicles which were allowed to stay in the spaces for an extended period of time without actually being loaded or unloaded. It was a frightening situation for a few minutes. We were not blocking any ingress or egress to the parking garage and there was no reason for this man to scream at us. No one from the hotel came out to see what was going on or assist us, but they might not have been able to hear. They need to do a better job of moving people out of the loading and unloading spaces, especially when a huge bus is taking up most of the area.

On a recent visit to Charleston, searched for something reasonably priced and convenient to things to do and some of the great restaurants in this city. Hampton on meeting street did the trick! Staff was great too! Especially the manager Colleen, we had a little concern that was not noticed until the morning and she went above and beyond my expectations with her services when made aware of! Because of her, I will definitely be returning on my next visit to Charleston!

Always a great place to stay!We always love staying at Hampton inn’s. They help us get a reservation for the next Hampton inn. So we’re always satisfied and happy with the accommodations. Room was clean. The breakfast in the morning was perfectly fine. Delicious coffee and a quick muffin to get on the road. Thank you Hampton inn
