My wife and I stayed here to celebrate her birthday and Valentine's Day. When we checked in, we used the valet service to park our car--it was great to not have to find a parking space in this congested area. Check-in is efficient, and the hotel staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel was in the process of remodeling during...

This is a very nice stay. We were in room 310 on the Hassell St. side. Very quiet as opposed to the busy Wentworth St. side. Also, we had a nice balcony to sit on, balconies on 3rd floor only. Fresh am Starbucks in lobby a nice compliment. Great location within blocks of all downtown activity. Superb valet parking for...

I found this property to be well run, friendly and attentive staff, great service. I had lunch at the grill upon my arrival and could not be more pleased with our server. She was so nice and very friendly, tending to us as we wrapped up a business meeting. The room was perfect and fit my needs. The bathroom was...

I am extremely familiar with Charleston and was in town to attend 35th college reunion from Medical University of SC! I would not have chosen to stay here when choosing hotels but did bidding on Priceline and got a VERY good rate! Stayed here 2 nights! Check in went ok ... Given an "upgrade" to room 328 which was a...

Beautifully appointed and quiet, this hotel is the quintessential Charleston experience. Everything from the lobby, the bell staff, front desk, bar area, wait staff, and guest rooms are welcoming. This was a quick trip for me, yet the staff made every accommodation to make it comfortable.

Awesome place right in the center of downtown Charleston. We stayed for a long weekend, and all the staffs recommendations we excellent. They now the "inside" secrets and we ended up at places not blown out of proportion by press alone. We found the true and local greats. Awesome visit to Downtown Historic Charleston

This hotel finds the perfect balance of Southern charm and modern amenities that you would expect from a Renaissance property. The rooms were nicely updated and the lobby/bar areas featured comfortable seating with a beautiful fireplace. Service and location were also tops. The number of restaurants around the hotel can be overwhelming, and the concierge was very useful in providing...

On a recent weekend getaway to Charleston my wife and I tried the Renaissance for the first time. It is an interesting property in that it appears to be old but is actually a relatively new offering in the "Holy City." The hotel's greatest attribute was its location. It is perfectly located for those wishing to visit the historic district...

The Renaissance Charleston is a comfortable place to stay located in a perfect location off of King Street. The rooms are large and comfortable along with a staff that is service oriented. There is a bar and restaurant on-site but you can find dine at amazing eateries just a few footsteps out the door. I stay here mostly when I...

The staff at check in was nice and moved quickly to get me in my room even though I was early. The restaurant / bar management is condescending and needs to learn southern hospitality. It would be accurate to describe him as rude. Fortunately, the bartender was around most of the time to serve and he was awesome. This property...
