First, our room was awful! We were given a room next to the elevator where the door dinged when opening. The room had a refrigerator that had a buzzing noise. We lasted two minutes in this room! Now, the female at the front desk can make or break a hotels first impression. She appeared to be burned out and just...

Several weeks ago I stayed for the first time in a Renaissance Hotel in Nashville it was a total disaster . I knew I was coming to Charleston for a brief business trip so I thought that Marriott would not put their name on a brand of hotels that was run so badly and so Nashville must have been an...

Dear psbmd25, We strive to create a flawless experience for each and every one of our guests and I apologize that this was not delivered during your visit. While we are very excited to get our new look from our renovations, we understand that the sound from their work can be a bit distracting. At our location we are very...

We stayed at this hotel because of its convenient location in Charleston. It didn't disappoint. The check in was easy and even though we arrived a little early, our room was ready. Parking was easy in the parking garage across the street. Just make sure you check in first to get the garage card. The room was very clean and...

Excellent place to stay, fresh breakfast followed by dinner with complementary drinks. The room was well maintained every day as well. Cleaned and clean furniture. The staff was very professional about everything they did.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city. It was a short walk to shopping on King St., the Market, and lots of restaurants. We have stayed at other hotels in the city and preferred the location of this one over all others. Very nice lobby, nice bar and breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend this Renaissance...

We stayed at The Renaissance Charleston Historic Hotel for our 46th anniversary. It was a last minute getaway so our favorite lodgings in historic Charleston were booked & if not we're very expensive. This Marriott historic hotel was "extremely" quiet, well appointed with marble & granite, very accommodating & for us, affordable. Our king terrace room was an upgrade from...

This hotel is in the perfect location. Only a couple of blocks from Market street, many restaurants, and other tourist attractions. Overall, the Renaissance brand is above average. The hotel and rooms were clean. Staff were wonderful, always making you feel special. Bed was very comfortable. Wish I could stay longer.

The Renaissance is an older property, which I understand is about to be renovated. My only criticism is that it could use a renovation as its age and use are showing. One could hear doors being opened and closed throughout the day, but no room noise from neighbors or from those walking/talking down hallways. It was mainly doors being closed....

This would have easily been a 5 star review. No problems. I would be shocked if I was even able to post this from the internet. So unstable. At least they were the first hotel in about 2 years that are charging me to use the internet! And, it doesn't even work. That's criminal. We arrived very early in the...
