Loved the location-helpful managers -nice breakfast-large rooms - house in need of a facelift...it's tired..they are aware of the rodent problem and trying to deal with it...I suggested a cat! Overall convenient, but needs lots of work...

Was supposed to stay here my first night in SC but Hurricane Matthew had other ideas. I had called in advance of my stay to discuss my cat allergy as they are pet-friendly and they were SUPER accommodating. Finally was able to make it there on my last night in SC and they honored my original rate. Beautiful and spacious...

Its really central and there is free parking but the room didn't really feel clean & there were bugs in the bath. Pictures on the website don't appear to be recent. I think the building & back house were once grand but the place needs a little refreshing! Pity because it negatively impacted our trip to charleston.

The assistant manager greeted us warmly when we came in. We came a tad early to enjoy charleston and she gave us our parking pass as soon as we arrived. We came back for check in we were give a mini tour around the house and we're personally escorted to our room. Upon arriving in our rooms there were cute...

Very special place in the heart of Charleston. Staff went out of their way for my sisters and I to make our stay memorable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The outside area in the back was perfect for breakfast and for enjoying wine and appetizers that we supplied, staff were kind enough too supply glasses and wine bucket. Highly recommend...

I really liked the Barksdale House. It needs some upkeep but still has a LOT of charm. Our room was nice and clean but the chairs could be more comfortable. We loved the cookies and coffee at check-in. The expanded continental breakfast was very tasty. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately, a tropical storm hit and the parking area was flooded. That...

Staying in the Barksdale House Inn is like getting into a time machine and going back 300 years. A very old well maintained house with excellent location, good breakfast, and helpful personnel. I stayed in room #6 on the first floor and had no trouble carrying my luggage considering there's no elevator. Totally recommend it. Four posted king side bed,...

Clean and full of charm. The home has the Victorian character you'd expect in a Bed & Breakfast. It is right in the heart of everything - walking distance to shopping, sightseeing and historical sites. The breakfast was very good and they had coffee, tea and freshly baked cookies or brownies available during the day.

This is a classy and elegant establishment tucked away in the heart of Charleston. An easy walk to any of the downtown shops, but all of the sounds of the city do no interfere with the the peace and quiet this B&B offers. All of the rooms have a fun story, and the Inn offers deals in the local community....

I was traveling with a small dog, and we stayed in the carriage house of the inn. The room was large and had every amenity that I required. I particularly appreciated the small refrigerator to keep my beverages cool during the very hot days we experienced. My only complaint at all is that, despite an extra piece of foam on...
