20 min to airport and right near the highway. Plenty of parking and the major strip has PLENTY of food options and shopping. For example, RUBY TUESDAY is a walk next door and the famous TOAST is across the street. Lobby is clean and front desk is really nice and efficient. I think the appeal here is the bright hallways and the spaciousness of the rooms. Also, breakfast options are plentiful and can be delivered to your room every morning. Housekeeping is no contact so you can place your garbage and towels into the hallway-pick up towels at front desk. Views from our room window (319) were a boat storage but who needs a view! The pool and gym were open but of course limited to 1 or a few people at a time due to the pandemic. Face coverings worn at all times and just drop your key into the fish bowl to check out. When I visit my mom I usually stay at the SLEEP INN but I caught a great rate to stay here. HI can be pricey so do your research; there are plenty of hotels in this highway. Con-no tea bags, only coffee. The toiletry pumps in the shower are hard to use bc they don’t spring back easily. Major pro: breakfast, microwave and fridge, bright bathroom!…
So booking with another party (Booking.com) was a very bad experience. The confirmation numbers didn’t match, being hung up on, being on the phone for well over an hour, etc. Heather the employee at the holiday inn express was fantastic through out this long ordeal. She helped me with the phone calls and ultimately called her boss. She got me checked into my room and I appreciate her so much! She truly went above and beyond for me.
My mom, dad and I stayed here while my mom had some medical appointments over at MUSC. We were given a room by the elevators on the 3rd floor. The check in process was very easy and the attendant was very helpful. We got our things up to the room after parking the vehicle. Everything was very clean and organized. The beds are amazingly soft. We picked our items from the breakfast menu for the next day. There were quite a few otions to choose from (considering the Covid 19). Breakfast was delivered up to the room on time each morning. Trash and towels were left by the door and they picked those up fairly quickly as well. Front desk provided whatever we ran out of. We would use this hotel again.
This had to be one the worst hotel experiences ever! We arrived at the hotel and immediately checked the room for cleanliness. We found dirt, dust, crumbs and hair on our desk and in the beds. We tried to wipe down and spray everything and press on. However, when we went to take a shower, we found a dirty washcloth tied around the neck of the shower! Gross! We called to the Front Desk and was immediately moved to another room. However, one walk into the room... we turned right back around. This room was also dirty. Food stains in the chairs, carpets, beer bottle caps under the bed, crumbs galore... I mean after driving for 5 hours, 2 room changes and both rooms being dirty, especially in the COVID days! We packed up and went to a clean hotel!
I spoke with Ms. Heather at the front desk. I made a mistake and booked the wrong dates on Hotels.com Heather told me it was a pain to get it changed, and it was!! She was so great she stayed on the phone in the lobby with the third party for about 2 hours assisting me to get it changed. It was so nice having someone so willing to help, she truly knows the value of customer service!! I highly recommend this hotel the rooms are great too !!
