It was peaceful and chilly when I went but once summer comes yes it will be quite busy. I only took points away since bathrooms are limited and many close seasonally. They do stock the pond for the summer

I am familiar with most state parks in northeastern Pennsylvania. Frances Slocum State Park offers the most varied landscape. It is clean. That bears repeating: it is *very* clean. Because of its proximity to an urban area, it hosts tour-bus trips; pavilions can be scheduled for family or group picnics. I do not camp and therefore can't offer opinions on...

Pay close attention to your children while at the Frances Slocum Pool.... there was a young child pulled out of this pool on Wednesday, 7-13-16 by some guy who resuscitated her.. It is a big pool, very clean, nice with some small water slides, French fries are awesome.

First off I want to say the park rangers were very courteous. That being said the people around my family were very very rude. I am very disappointed in my first experience at this park. I blame the park for allowing the group of people next to my camp site to come in and BEGIN setting up at 11:00PM (yes...

Wonderful for hiking, boating, fishing, bird watching, picnicking, relaxation, pretty much anything. There is a pool and playground. A beautiful lake, and lots of spots for company picnics. I go here weekly and it's always a great experience. You may even see a bald eagle while kayaking!

Great place to camp, many electric/non-electric sites along with the rustic walk in sites, all sites are clean. We did feel that they could have done a better job of in-forcing the quiet hours. The lake is very nice for kayaking with interesting views and a lot of wildlife. Nice pool area and pavilions.

We spent a weekend in our 32' Motorhome at Frances Slocum in the middle of June, 2014. The campsites are beautiful - very wooded, and although close in proximity, somewhat private because of all the trees and vegetation. We rode our bikes twice to the beautiful pool, which was large, well-maintained and only $3 if camping at the park. There...

As far as camp grounds it was a great experience. Everything was convenient and very secluded. We stayed in 26 and it was pretty private. The pool is only open Saturday and Sundays, unfortunately so Friday we had to find things nearby to cool us off. My only gripe is that 3 sites across from us who were traveling together,...

What a super pool park. Walk in was terrific for our little ones. Slides and deep end was perfect for the older kids. The grass area was clean and lush for warming in the sun. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Super place to have fun.

We spend three days at this state park over Labor Day weekend. Very pretty park, very wooded and the lake was great for kyaking or canoeing. Not a very large lake but nice calm water. This park has a swimming pool on the day side of the lake, and for discounted fee overnight campers can swim there. It also has...
