What an amazing stay we had! My boyfriend and I were looking for a quiet getaway for the weekend and Whitewing exceeded our expectations in every way! The room was gorgeous, the bed was so comfortable and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. Lance and Sandy made us feel right at home and their heart can be seen in every...

My fiancé and I stayed at The Inn At Whitewing Farm on a trip up to the Brandywine Valley to visit Longwood Gardens. Lovely place - innkeeper Sandi was very nice and accommodating. Room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Fabulous breakfast, and Keurig machine and snacks were available around the clock. Reasonably priced, too!

Other than the obvious beauty of the grounds, the hosts; Lance and Sandy, make this one of the best places for a retreat, small conference or wedding. the quaint rooms and cottages are perfectly maintained and the main room in the Hay Barn is perfect for intimate gatherings. The food that Lance prepared amplified his success as a restaurant owner...

Driving on Rt. 1 through Kennett Square, busy traffic and a stip mall or two, I wondered if and when we would find the lovely Whitewing farm pictured on the website. But the turn off on to Valley Road hinted of gorgeous countryside to come. The Whitewing Farm is nestled along this country road, such a pretty setting in the...

The location is very close to Winterthur and other attractions, and the property setting is lovely. Based on our experiences at many B&Bs, however, as a Bed and BREAKFAST, the property is overrated. Quality of Facility: Our "Jockey" room was nice, but had a funny smell of cleaner or air freshener. The large common room in the "barn" used for...

Needing a half way point between family events, we chose the Inn at Whitewing. Excellent decision on our part! We stayed in the smaller Tack Room and it was clean, pretty and comfortable for 2 adults. Close to many of the attractions in the Brandywine area. Breakfasts are delicious and varied. Thank you Lance and Sandy for a memorable visit.

Lance and Shandy Shortt are wonderful innkeepers. Their advice on restaurants and sightseeing in the area was very helpful. The inn is located on an exceptional well manicured property with beautiful vistas. Even on a rainy day it was lovely. Having a fireplace added a special touch since our May visit was on a colder than usual day. We look...

My partner and I wanted to get away for the weekend and white wing turned up on a Google search if bnb's by Longwood gardens. The grounds are beautiful and the family that owns the place were very friendly and warm and hospitable. The breakfast was delicious and all fresh fruits. We stayed in the pond area so the room...

How wonderful to discover a place of such warmth and loveliness and charm after a long and rainy trip from New England. We loved our beautiful suite and the gracious breakfast (special effort was made to care for my food allergies) and the warmth of our host and hostess...and what is better than making new friends and feeling that this...
