Had a wonderful time. Enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace and overall atmosphere. Only complaint was the upstairs occupants. Getting jiggy and general noise. No fault of the owner. Close to the Pa Grand Canyon and Wellsboro. The Diner in Wellsboro had Cinnamon Rolls to die...More

The Lodge itself is very romantic, a short drive from town, maybe 8 minutes or so. We were in the Wilderness Suite with a large soaker tub, love long bubble baths. I suffer from a debilitating heart issue and therefore hiking was out of the question for me as well, but there is a scenic tour of the Canyon using your own car, we pulled over and enjoyed most of the vistas with easy access. Fall foliage was at its peak so we took an afternoon train ride to view the changing leaves. Main Street was great for people watching, we ordered lunch from the Red Skillet (food truck) which was excellent, had a seat under the shade of a tree and relaxed. The diner was fun for breakfast, great local vibe. We purchased pumpkins and fruits/veggies from a local farmer to bring home to Pittsburgh. There is a local cheesery, but it was closed when we tried to visit, they were in the middle of building a cheese cave. Just a few things I recall off the top of my head, we visited in October '15. Enjoy!!
