This is actually our 3rd stay at Glades Pike. We stayed one night back in August and spent two nights there this month. But I held off reviewing until the second visit. Janet is a wonderful hostess. It feels like we are visiting family when...More
We stayed here while going to a nearby wedding. One of the delightful things was that two other couples were staying there while they went to a different wedding. The rooms are spacious and the water was hot even with 3 couples sharing it. The...More
As with any B&B/Inn the experience is driven by the owner/innkeeper. What a absolute delight we found here with Janet. I was taking my 93 year old Dad to visit the Flight 93 memorial (see review) When I spoke to Janet she affirmed she would...More
I was really looking forward to staying at Glade's Pike, highly recommended by my niece and her husband. We had a reservation for 2 nights and I was lucky to add an additional night a few weeks before hand. We arrived around 7 or so...More

Hello Linda M.
ONE TIME I had an issue with the kitty smell...I left the litter box located on the third floor go one day too long, then on a hot summer day somehow the ceiling fan got reversed and started blowing the hot attic air over the litter box then down the stairwell. Normally, I have the fan set to pull the a/c up the hallway to cool it...but who knows how I reversed it! It has not happened again, but I do still have my kitty although she keeps to herself.
Breakfast is always meat, eggs, fresh fruit toast and sweet muffins. I make my own jellies (normally) and have local maple syrup for pancake/french toast days and fresh cook every morning.
I have five rooms with private baths, so I am more like a small Inn than the typical one bedroom bed and breakfast.
Hope to see you in September. Watch Sept. 16th & 17th as everything is sold out for Mother Earth's News Conference. Also Sept. 9-11th is very popular due to Mt. Craft days in Somerset and the United Flight 93 Memorial...but I do still have rooms for those dates.
