I really enjoyed staying at the Stony Brook Inn. The inn was very clean and well kept. The room was as pictured on the website. Breakfast was simple but substantial, and the staff were wonderful. Pete the innkeeper was very accommodating and we enjoyed our conversations with him. His recommendations for places to eat were right on the mark. Our main activity was a visit to nearby Bushkill Falls. All in all, a wonderful weekend getaway.
From the second I called up until the second we walked out it felt like I was with family. Pete has the B&B business down pat. The inn was very clean and well kept. The room was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for more. He asked the night before what we liked to eat and both mornings it was prepared to perfection. Sat night we got back late and Pete was waiting for us with a nice surprise and we sat and talked until almost midnight. I can’t say enough good about Pete the owner and the Inn
This was our last moment booking and Pete was kind enough to accommodate us. It’s a lovely property, managed by Pete and his wife Roseanne for the last 18 years. After Roseanne passed away last year, Pete is now running the bnb so that he can continue to live his wife’s dream. Very well kept Bnb and I was touched by Pete’s hospitality and his love for his beloved wife. Will definitely visit again!
We spent a long weekend in Shawnee to celebrate baby's 1st Birthday. Weather was hot hot hot but we stayed cool in the pool morning noon & night. This unique Inn built in 1853(?) Is charming and well preserved. Hosts Rose Ann & Pete couldn't be nicer... Allowing for space & privacy yet readily available for regional advise, travel tips etc. they serve a great breakfast too -something different and nutritious each morning. Most important our room was comfy with plenty of towels, pillows and a really good mattress.. We slept very well! We will definitely return soon!
Nice, quiet room on 3rd floor. The Bridal Room with suite. Very relaxing. Pete & Rose Ann very nice. Shower good. It's an old home but we were very comfortable. Breakfast made by Owners in the morning very good! Pete even drove with us in the morning to show us where to start bike trip due to lots of construction and detours. Rose Ann called a friend over at night to help with some knitting questions. They have a pool there too. There is a general store you can walk to right around the corner that's fun to check out & also have breakfast there 6:30 or 7 if you need to get out early. Overall, I felt like I was staying with family & we would stay again.
