Stayed here for one night when traveling the GAP. While the owners don't live in the house, they were very attentive. Upon arrival, we were locking our bikes up on the bike racks out front and the owner drove up and helped us put them inside the garage. We really appreciated that as it was about to storm. A note...

This was the 2nd day stop on a Pittsburgh to D.C. bike trip. My wife, daughter and her friend all met us there and we had no issues. The place was clean, the rooms comfortable. My only real complaint was there was there was nowhere to lock up your bike if you got there after the bike shop closed. Breakfest...

I just read David O's review, and my experience was almost exactly the same. As I rode into Rockwood, I found the Trail House right on the GAP trail. Can't get any more convenient than that! Anyway, the door was open, but the proprietors weren't home. In fact, they left a note on the table that said I would find...

The Trail House is right next to the GAP trail in a great location. Your hosts most likely wont be there as they don't live there. There was a note on the table to help myself to ice tea in the refridgerator & cookies on the table. My name was on my room's door. The room was great as was...

Right on the trail at Rockwood. Owners also run an extremely well stocked bike shop next door. House has comfortable living room and large porch with swing. Breakfast served at 8am was very good... homemade pancakes, local sausage, local eggs, oatmeal and plenty of coffee and OJ. Trains passing thru town sound their whistle all night, so be sure to...

We had 14 cyclists in our group, which rode from Cumberland, MD to Pittsburgh over three days in July. After a rainy first day ride from Cumberland, we were relieved to arrive at the Rockwood Trail House, where they provided a hose to rinse off our bikes, and we used their washer/dryer to get our soaked, gritty kits clean. They...

Perfect location off trail at Rockwood entrance. Entered house and was directed to make yourself comfortable. Ice tea in frig, big porch with swing, and a note that told you that breakfast was at 8am. We never saw owners until breakfast the next day. Bike rack out front is where we parked and locked our bikes. Didn't like that much...

Without Len and his wife, the Rockwood stopover would be like ALL THE REST on the GAP trail - without any services! The Bike shop is awesome, and when Len is there, service is without peer. They are farmers, and the bike shop & b&b are sidelines for them so they are not always there. Twice now, they have saved...

I recently stayed at the Rockwood Trail House with my husband and 3 friends. We arrived after a long 58 miles of biking and found the Trail House to be absolutely what the doctor ordered. It's right on the side of the trail and very appealing with its porches and country-style decorations. We were the only guests that night so...

Great location. Friendly owners - former dairy owners in the area that rehabbed this old place about 15 years ago. Adjacent bike shop to story bike. See my other comments under Connellsville Bed & Breakfast.
