Sandy & Carlton were excellent hosts and really made us very welcome. The accommodation is excellent. It was like staying in a 1st class hotel. Beautiful grounds and a decking area where we enjoyed the view with our friends over a glass or two of wine. Highly recommended.

This was our second time at the Mountain Hideaway and was just enjoyable as the first. The location is just superb. The owners are lovely people and help and assist when required. This is by far the best B & B we have ever stayed in. looking forward to the third visit. Peter S

We took a mid-week escape to the Mountain Hideaway and it was so wonderful. Only 20-25 minutes to State College, but it feels like its worlds away. The home is beautifully kept and very clean and the grounds are breath-taking. We stayed in the Buena Vista room and were so happy. The bed was wonderful to sleep on, the gas... More

This is the best B&B we have ever experienced! The tranquil location, gorgeous facility, welcoming hospitality, delicious food, sightings of wildlife and views of mountain ranges, are exemplary. You could not ask for anything more. It would be impossible not to relax here and enjoy being treated like a king or queen by the owners. They are wonderful people who... More

The sensation was of being so far removed from busy surroundings, yet is so easily accessible and relatively close to a major university. The breakfasts were beyond expectation! The setting is very scenic in summertime (Must be stupendous in fall & winter). Spacious rooms and common area; inside and outside well-maintained. Sandy, Carlton & Chico are most gracious and friendly... More

Breakfast was not one, or even two hot dishes, but THREE hot dishes each day. Plus yoghurt, fresh fruit tray, choice of 2 juices... Wonderful! And you had access to a full kitchen all the time - just for the guests. The layout is such that the 1st floor is all for guests - two rooms look out across the... More

This is a 5 star B&B. Room furnishings are 1st class. The breakfast selection is superb and the mountain setting with fish pond/waterfalls is very relaxing. We saw wild deer and turkey at the feeder while we were there.

This B&B is a world apart from any other we have stayed at before. Carlton, Sandy and Chico are the perfect hosts. Sandy made us feel like friends whom she hasn’t seen for a while, rather than just another paying guest. The 3 Guest Rooms: They are on the ground floor of this spectacular home, with million dollar views and... More
