Ace Hotel Pittsburgh

Certificate of Excellence
Established in 2015. Ace Hotel PGH resides in a historic, century-old building, formerly the East Liberty YMCA. We've preserved many features of its past -- its windows, its ornate facade, its velodrome -- in hopes of celebrating its rich history. Pittsburgh is a city we love for its neighborhoods. East Liberty, for instance, was once a free-grazing field in the shadow of the Alleghenies, and before that it was under the sea. (You can still find brachiopod fossils hidden beneath the sidewalk).

Exciting food and drink options. My suggestion is order dessert first! They were out of the world. Great atmosphere for catching up with friends. The ambiance was laid back and the service was on point. Very attentive and approachable staff. Quick with options for sensitive

To preface this - my room size - small with king bed and I was traveling alone.

Stayed here for 1-night when in Pittsburgh on a business trip and it was a great choice. Wi-Fi was super reliable, front desk was friendly, room service was delicious, and they have day passes for a

It's hard to find a cooler place than Ace. A hotel, restaurant and bar based in an old YMCA isn't for everyone and some people won't get it. If you do dig places with bohemian, authentically quirky vibes, then you will love Ace Hotel Pittsburgh.

My wife and I spent a weekend he

Old YMCA converted to hotel. Corner room great views. Furnishings unusual, king platform bed, about a foot off the floor, very comfortable, little harder to get out of. Parts of room concrete floor around bed carpet. Visually neat. Bathroom with walk in shower and neat amenities.

I'm definitely not in the target demographic for this hotel but enjoyed a recent stay very much, and never felt out of place. A medium size room was perfectly comfortable - especially liked the wool blanket and high quality sheets in the platform bed. The bathroom, while on the

What are the parking arrangements for guests?
We valet parked. It was very easy in and out though the daily rate was not too cheap.

I have read there are no closets. Is there space to hang a suit and dress for a wedding???
Yes! We have a wall mounted rail system in each room that you can easily hang both a dress and a suit. Hope this helps. See you soon!

Is it true that there is no fitness center in the hotel? If that's the case, does the hotel have an agreement with a nearby gym that guests can use? Thanks!
I really don't know the answer to this. But they use the old gym for parties and weddings, so definitely not to its original purpose.

Hi! We are planning a trip to Pittsburgh to go to the Warhol museum. I noticed that you are a sponsor to the museum (that's how I found you!). I was wondering how close the museum is to your location. Walking distance? I also saw that Warhol visitor get a 10% discount off their booking. Can the discount only be used when booking through your website? Thanks for any input, and hopefully, we will see you in January!
Shauna087, Thanks for the question! Feel free to give us a call. We can book you a discounted reservation for you here at the hotel. As far as the distance, we are bit to far to walk. A short car ride or Uber can get you there in 15!

Hi, do you offer any type of transportation, like a shuttle? We are going to a PITT basketball game on Dec 2 and are looking for a hotel in the area, but we didn't want to drive to the stadium. thanks Casey
Hey Casey, Our central location between where PITT plays and the other destinations in town would be a good home base. We don't have a hotel shuttle, however Uber and Lyft are usually only minutes away. Hope to see you soon! Nick P.
