My son is attending a local university, so we had planned to use this hotel when visiting him over the next four years. The room was OK and clean (except for the refrigerator being a little dirty). What changed our minds about future visits was the attitude of one front desk staff person. Over the course of our six night...

The Residence Inn could use a little updating, but overall it was good experience. The room was clean and had a kitchen. The hotel is a distance from downtown, but is convenient to University of Pitt on the Hill campus. Getting to the front desk from the parking lot can be a little confusing but they have signs everyone explaining...

Fantastic staff and location. One of the better Residence Inn breakfasts. Very nice pool and fitness room. This property seems like a reception center for some of our country's newest visitors with 5 Arabic language television stations and pork products clearly marked (although even having pork products is insensitive to their culture). The management encourages cultural diversity by allowing the...

Stayed over after Pitt football game. The staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. Yes the hotel is dated but seems like they are gearing up for a reno. That is the reason for the 4 star and not 5. There is a wonderful restaurant right across the street. We also enjoyed having drinks on the patio. Highly...

This hotel is fine -- some good points and some bad. When we finally found it :-) and tried to pull into the parking garage, we were startled to realize that our mid-sized SUV with a car top carrier on the roof was too tall! However, the security staff was accommodating and allowed us to park overnight in the "park...

While it looks close to downtown, it is deceiving because of all of the bridges and hills around Pittsburgh. It is hard to find. Once we found it, it is a bit different, as it shares a garage with a retirement community apartment complex. You also have to go upstairs to register and then back down to your car to...

I spent 10 nights here for a business trip and the hotel was selected for me. I could not fault the room that came with a diner suite. Unfortunately there is no restaurant or bar although complimentary drinks and Bbq are provided on some evenings. There are some families staying with children long term and on occasions these are not...

I really enjoyed my one night stay at Residence Inn Pittsburgh /Medical Center. I needed a room close to the University of Pittsburgh and this was perfect considering I booked this room the day of. Great outdoor terrace to enjoy your breakfast and scenery! Really enjoyed my stay, Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The first time I stayed at this hotel I couldn't find it. I called the hotel and stayed on the phone (Bluetooth) until I pulled in the lot. Staff has always been very friendly. Including the front desk and staff working throughout the facility. They do hospitality right! Parking in the lot is $15 per day with in/out privileges. There...

I was surprised to not find a luggage rack. The explanation that many guests stayed for extended periods didn't make sense. Don't these folks also have to unpack and pack? The lack of water glasses at the bathroom sink was also surprising. This time the explanation was that these were glasses and cupos in the kitchen cabinet seemed good, but...
