The mansion itself is a lovely and historic building located in an upscale neighborhood close to shopping, restaurants and some attractions. We were given a lengthly tour of the interior with the obvious intention of impressing us. The entryway was indeed grand but like the rest of the property in need of some tlc. The lovely floors, moldings, doorways and... More

As the other reviews indicate, the building is beautiful and interesting. However, it was not really clean and the linens and towels were of very low quality. Additionally, the beds were unbearable squeaky. I was there with my two teenage children and we all were woken up whenever one of us moved! Most frustrating and upsetting was the poor service... First off, don't arrive early. My flight arrived in the morning and I took a cab to the mansion, hoping to drop off my luggage and sight see until check in. Doors were locked, no one answered the doorbell and I had to ask a construction worker on the site how I could find someone to speak to. After several... More

Wonderful greeter with a quick tour and history of Mansion. A little run down when you look closely; with some cobwebs and dust. Adequate breakfast with a really sweet cook/server. Needs to extend updating and cleanliness in common spaces.

But sadly, more mediocre than outstanding. The good: the building itself is gorgeous with very nice furnishings and well preserved architectural features. The rooms are huge. I was in Room 2 and it was massive, including a walk in closet. Beautiful wood floors, and a great bed. The bad? Absolutely no attention to detail or understanding of the guest experience.... More

The hotel falsely advertises event planning and meeting rooms. Without exaggerating I called to inquire about planning an event, and suddenly I was hung up on. I thought this behavior was odd and rude so I called again. Before I could speak I was told to never call again and once again was hung up on. Based on the other... More

Well this place is just okay. There are a few quirky things and it needs a little bit of work in some of the rooms, especially 3. You have to be aware of Christel the person who welcomes when you arrive. She gives you a full tour of the place, whether you want it or not. I am sure she... More

The Mansion itself was stunning! Our room and the rest of the estate was gorgeous. With that being said, we were disappointed with the breakfast aspect of our B&B experience. Both days we were offered french toast, overdone scrambled eggs, and burnt bacon, whereas other B&B's have always had different exquisite breakfast dishes everyday. We also put our Do Not... More

This mansion is beautiful. Gorgeous woodwork and stained glass windows. Our room was large with a walk in closet and en suite bathroom. The queen bed was very comfortable. So what's my complaint? Little things that can easily be remedied. The staff needs to be trained better. For example: We only received one wash cloth for the two of us.... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Mansion. Main floor area has all the gorgeous woodwork and formal rooms you would expect in a mansion. Lots of space to stroll around - a library, a music room, a large front porch with furniture for sitting out. Guest rooms are sparkling clean with simple décor. All employees were friendly and helpful. Breakfast... More
