My husband & I took his brother & wife, who are visiting from Israel for an overnight to New Hope. We had lovely rooms on the second floor that opened on to a gracious porch. We sat outside and enjoyed looking at the gardens below...More
This little B&B is set back off Main Street in New Hope, pretty much right downtown in the heart of this little village. Its location makes it super convenient to walk to just about everything in town, the stores, the restaurants, the attractions, the canal...More

By coincidence, I just returned today from another fabulous stay at Porches and asked the owners your question. Room 11, which is in a separate building from the main house, is a lovely room that is ground level and has a seat in the shower. (I stayed in this room on a previous visit and loved it.) All of the beds in all of the rooms are high, however, so depending on the handicap, that might be an issue. There are a few steps (three or four) that must be climbed going into the main house where where breakfast is served on the porch in nice weather and in the dining room off season, but they will also deliver breakfast to your room upon request. I would suggest calling the management with more specific details about the handicap to ensure that Porches is an appropriate accommodation. It certainly is fabulous from all other perspectives!
Yes. We have ice buckets for your wine. We could (depending on how big whatever you wanted to keep cold) put your food in our refrigerator. However, we do lock the kitchen over night, so you would either have to get it... More
Yes. We have ice buckets for your wine. We could (depending on how big whatever you wanted to keep cold) put your food in our refrigerator. However, we do lock the kitchen over night, so you would either have to get it before we leave for the evening or wait until the next morning. Hope this helps, Bob
