Really enjoyed our midweek stay in this lovely B & B. The towpath was steps away from the back door of our porch—perfect for a morning walk after a hearty breakfast. The location is also steps from the center of town and the bridge to...More

Thanks for the time it took to write the review we appreciate it. Can't wait to have you back.
For me, Porches soars on all levels.
It is a beautiful hamlet, perfectly tucked away in alley right off the main artery in New Hope. The place has an unsurmountable amount of character. The artistry and amount of time and years that John and his...More

I have stayed at this hidden jewel for many years. It’s nestled at the end of quiet Fisher’s Alley, which is just a half block from New Hope’s main intersection. The house dates from the 1800’s and has been transformed into a charming B&B that...More

Porches is a lovely place right in New Hope but off the main drag, tucked away from the hustle bustle of the town. Our room was lovely and comfortable and having breakfast on the porch added to the experience. Easy to walk into the main...More

By coincidence, I just returned today from another fabulous stay at Porches and asked the owners your question. Room 11, which is in a separate building from the main house, is a lovely room that is ground level and has a seat in the shower. (I stayed in this room on a previous visit and loved it.) All of the beds in all of the rooms are high, however, so depending on the handicap, that might be an issue. There are a few steps (three or four) that must be climbed going into the main house where where breakfast is served on the porch in nice weather and in the dining room off season, but they will also deliver breakfast to your room upon request. I would suggest calling the management with more specific details about the handicap to ensure that Porches is an appropriate accommodation. It certainly is fabulous from all other perspectives!
