My BF and I planned a couple of days away in New Hope. We had a nice two day stay at the Hound & Fox Inn and then decided we wanted to stay over another day. For our Sat. - Sun. stay, we found the Wishing Well Guesthouse and it was a great find. We stayed in the Cathedral room...

Many thanks for your lovely comments about our 180 year old historic Inn! We welcome your return! We are so sorry that you were cold in the Cathedral Room---the largest and most requested room in the Inn in our14 years---despite that there are two radiators (apparently you did not see the one in the bedroom as it is hidden by...

My wife and I went to New Hope for the weekend to celebrate her birthday and we were lucky enough to stay at the Wishing Well. I looked into a few places for us to stay, but the Wishing Well caught my eye right from the jump- thanks in large part to the affordable rates (lower than other B &...

The wishing well guesthouse is close to main street (15 minute walk and I highly recommend the path that follows the railroad tracks for a lovely scenic walk to downtown) in New Hope. You can also conveniently walk to friendly area bars like the Raven. The house is decorated beautifully and you really feel at home here. Lovely clean room....

The wishing well was cozy, charming, hospitable and friendly. I stayed there for a few weeks in the Attic Room which is a lot of stairs but well worth it for the cozy suite. My room was comfortable, the food was fantastic, and most of all, the innkeeper, Jason and the grounds keeper, Jay, were the two friendliest, most helpful...

This was my second time staying. Both times I stayed in the Attic Room. The Inn has so much history, fun décor and unbelievable service! I truly could not ask for a more pleasant stay! Cannot wait to go back!

I was housed here for three weeks while holding an internship. From the second I arrived I was greeted and made to feel welcomed and at home. My favorite part about this place is the fact that all of the workers are so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The entire place feels as...

Whenever we travel to New Hope, we stay at the Wishing Well. It feels like home to us. In fact, we always choose the Cathedral Room. It's high ceilings and proximity to the breakfast area are both pluses for me. I realize that some, like a past reviewer, might not like this second feature. I did not find the location...

This was our first time staying at the Wishing Well, 5 of us just spent 2 evenings at the Wishing Well and had a wonderful time. We were surprised that the house was so comfortable and quiet for being one of the original houses in New Hope. We had 3 rooms and all of us felt that our rooms were...

My husband and I stayed here for our one big night away without the kids. We were hoping to sleep in and relax. However, we stayed in the "Cathedral" room, which was immediately off the kitchen/eating area, and we were woken at 7:30 by people eating breakfast. I opened the door to go out and get coffee, and everyone in...

I am sorry that these guests did not have the kind of room they wished--it's always so sad to me when someone does not feel they were accommodated. At the time they they made the reservation there were room options and they chose the Cathedral Room for it's size--it's the largest room in the house. Since they had a gift...

This review is long overdue. My finance and I stayed here last year. We were greeting by Michael, the innkeeper, he was warm and fuzzy, like a big gay teddy bear. He made us feel welcome and at home. We arrived just in time for happy hour (wine & cheese). We also were introduced to the other guests, who happened...

“great website photos for choosing a room!”

“The 1st floor cathedral room is large and attractive and it has a useful desk alcove (if you wish to use a computer or do work). But, the room is adjacent to the breakfast dining area and you can hear all of the noise (& conversations) of the breakfast guests. Also, the room was cold--there seemed to be no way to control the thermostat in the room & the only heat source seemed to be the radiator in the bathroom. That being said, I loved the room (I just wish it had been a bit warmer).”

“The Blue Room was perfect for two of us for the weekend. Cozy, but not cramped. And come on, the door is a book case. That's super cool.”

“Attic room is large and beautiful but lots of stairs. Blue room is smaller but with a big bathroom and equally cozy. The front room is out of the way of other guests.”
