We liked our stay in DVM! It’s located almost outside Canggu, but actually it’s great because you surrounded with greens and you can walk to the beach. The road is almost empty, but you can use shortcuts to quickly get to the central part of Canggu. We liked our morning views with rice paddies and mountains on the horizon either when it’s sunny and raining. The staff is really helpful and took care of every request we had. Thanks so much for everything :-)

A charming and quiet place to relax and enjoy beautiful sunsets. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The property is super-clean and the view in the rooms is breathtaking on both sides. I would recommend this place to anyone travelling to Bali.

DVM (like they call themselves as per their internet address) is a great choice if you like to be close to Canggu and it's hip surf and excellent dining/bars (La Brisa!!!!) but yet want to be a bit more upmarket (European style quality rooms and Italian restaurant) and quiet. On top of that the views are just stunning!!

Our family stayed for 1 night and I wouldn’t recommend staying longer than that without your own car/motorbike as transport. Part of the appeal is that this resort is quite isolated but it also means that taxis don’t pickup from there. The room was amazing with great views of the rice fields. The restaurant has great food and there are cows on the walk towards the beach which the kids loved. This beach would not be suitable for kids to swim though. The gym has new weights and the whole resort was well maintained. I was a little disappointed when at the buffet breakfast I was asked if I could pay for half of my eggs as I must have ordered more than my quota.

It is a bit out of the way, surrounded by rice paddy fields, but this is part of the charm. No noise from beach clubs, traffic, mopeds, dogs or cockerels! It is a couple of minutes from the beach, and Pererenan, Canggu, Echo Beach & Old Man's can be reached by walking east along the beach. There are also short cuts through the paddy fields on scooter paths, a 10 minute stroll taking you through to Pererenan Road, which is the most westerly, less busy & commercial street, with a good selection of cafes & small restaurants. You will find good Balinese massage spas here too- Our 7 day stay was wonderful - we had a ground floor 1 bedroom apartment, it was very clean & modern- we will definitely be back. Please note there is no lift to the upper stories. We ate in most nights....That said, the Italian chef seemed to be missing, but the food was ok. The menu is limited, adding sautéed vegetables would be good! All the staff were so helpful & gracious. The local drivers they arranged for us were a little more expensive than cabs, but their clean, well maintained 6 seater vehicles with functioning air conditioners were a blessing in the heat during the drives in the Bali traffic- we felt happy leaving our luggage with these drivers whilst out on day tours. Although it is only about 10km out from the main town of Denpasar, it is a 50 minute trip on a Sunday. We were warned by different drivers that the trip to the airport on a Monday at 3 pm can take 3 and up to 6 hours... Tour groups don't seem to mind picking you up out in the rice paddys- I found contacting companies through WhatsApp got the best results.

Notified them months before our visit of our dietary requirements ( Vegan ) of which they acknowledged. When we arrived to check the dinner menu the only thing available was pasta, so we had to travel into Canggu for dinner. Breakfast was marginally better with some fruit and cornflakes available. On both occasions the waitress was apologetic and very helpful although she was unable to find suitable food apart from the pasta and cornflakes with soy milk. In the room there is was no booklet to indicate the facilities available e.g Dining menu, transport, tourist info, drinks menu. Although insultingly there was a sheet of paper itemising every item that was in the room e.g furniture, televisions, cutlery, pillows, electricity plugs, cups etc and how much you will be charged if they were missing. We did a check to make sure it was all there and it seems the previous people must have escaped with a 53cm Televsion, 6 pillows and a couple of chairs as they were not in our room on arrival. Unfortunately there was no itemising of the ants that were present in the room. Internet was very slow at times so I guess there is not enough bandwidth to cater for the amount of people using it especially at night. All the staff were very friendly and happy.

Must say very disappointed with resort. It's relatively new, nice spacious clean rooms. They did have lots of minor issues such as my son's room key( he was in another room) opened our door. When someone leaves the unit locks the door on outside, the person remaining is locked in room and can't escape. No information folder advising if any local services, amenities or room service menu. Buffett breakfast dismal barely any options for Vegan people apart from toast, lettuce, fruit. We did advise resort we were Vegan months ago. The resort is 15 minutes drive from Canggu so isolated which is fine but nothing such as milk or coffee cups on arrival, no mini bar or snacks in room. You did get fruit platter on arrival. On departure you have to complete an inventory of all items in room and informed you will be charged if they are missing. The inventory is completely wrong and we found very insulting. Sadly we would never return

We were very happy with our stay at The Double View Mansions Bali! It is a perfect apartment style holiday, think an upscale hotel with a real homely feel with amazing views! The location is amazing, in a really tranquil area only a short distance from all the restaurants, bars and shopping of Canggu and Echo beach and only 5 mins walk to the quiet beach. Very nice pool and the gym has great cardio options, chest press bench, kettlebells and free weights and if you're an outdoor runner the road leading to the hotel is 2.5km so a nice round 5km to the main road and back which is manageable as there is next to no traffic. They also have a table tennis table next to the gym! The restaurant is fantastic for both food and coffee and they serve a very nice breakfast buffet! Staff are fantastic, really friendly and accommodating to your specific needs and requirements and very insightful and helpful when looking to book trips. We stayed in a rice field view apartment to start and when we extended the stay we were moved to an ocean view. Both beautiful the rice field is very Bali, you can see the mountains on a clear day the ocean view were amazing and great for sunset!

Hi, we spent few days in mid July staying in the penthouse on block 4: the apt is amazing, clean and spacious with a magnificent view both on the ocean and the rice fields. The service is also very good. The restaurant run by chef Umberto is a must-try. Delicious dishes from the Italian tradition combined with local cuisine: such a nice experience and so practical to have it there after we were back from the beach or from the tours of the island. We have never used our kitchen in the apartment. Hint: grab a pizza or a focaccia with a plate of Parma ham around 5:30 pm and bring it to the room to enjoy the Balinese sunset directly from the balcony while having a glass of wine accompanied by Italian “tapas” . Ideally located in a quiet area, The ocean is 100 meters away and within a 15 mins walk on the beach you can reach few first beach Clubs and surfing schools. Within 20 minutes ride ( despite being only few km away in Bali you can have a lot of traffic) you reach Berawa and Canggu rich of little shops, restaurants, spa etc.. The pool is ideal both to spend a day and for a last swim when coming back in the afternoon from The beach. DVM is definitely worth considering for your stay in Bali. We will surely be back. Ric

Love the suite and the energy of the place...I enjoyed the great tastes of Italian food. I however, feel that the breakfast has limited choices (basic). the restaurant staff as well as the general staff are great in terms of their attitude and being friendly and helping. Overall, the location is great which is secluded and next to the rice fields and Mangu beach, which is 5 minutes walk. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay there again.
