Very rustic hotel. No microwave, no refrigerator, no coffee, no breakfast is provided and no elevator to the second floor. Owners do not live on site. Coffee is available in a foyer around 7 in the morning. There is a restaurant next door (DJ's) that serves excellent meals at reasonable prices.
Older Country style but very clean and adoring, felt like home, we had the king size bed room. Comfortable bed, cozy couch area. Cute owner's 50s diner next door, not open on Sunday and closes at 7pm Saturday. Would stay at again.
This is a true mom and pop run inn. It is an older property but very well maintained. It is perfectly located on Old Philadelphia Pike (PA 340). Everything is a very short drive away from this area. The room was a decent size. Very simple accommodations but a nice decor. Beds were ok, they were very soft. Bathroom was small but functional. It felt like being a guest in someone's home for the night. It was a relaxing environment. Staff and owners were awesome! Very nice people. Everyone went out of their way to make sure our stay was special.
This is a small property with about thirty rooms that looks like a house. The rooms have nice beds with quilts and the whole place is decorated in a country motif. It is a family run place, and the hospitality is great. I have been here about three times, and its one of my favorite hotels in the Bird in Hand/Lancaster area.
We were only here one night on a quiet Sunday/4th of July. Room was spacious and everything was pleasant. The quilts were a nice touch. It was about 3 or so miles to downtown and there were strips of stores and restaurants even closer. And a cute mini golf course/petting zoo just down the street which I highly recommend. The woman who checked us in was super sweet and it was a good price. Our room looked out over a scenic cornfield, it felt pretty Penn Dutch Country for sure.
Super clean and quiet. Probably the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. Rooms are comfy, staff is awesome. Highly recommended for a relaxing couple of days seeing the sites of Amish Country and surrounding area. Great location within minutes of restaurants and attractions.
My wife and I stayed here over night during our visit to Lancaster, Pennsylvania June 26, 2020. We checked in late, around 6:30 pm and we were tired, having left Virginia at about 5:30 am (2.5 hour drive) and spending the whole day sight seeing. The Country Living Inn was convenient to what we wanted to do the next day before driving back home to Virginia. The place was charming, clean, comfortable and quiet (except for the dehumidifier, which you could turn off.). What it was lacking was amenities! No pool. No coffee (not even in the lobby). No cable TV. No breakfast. You think for $115 (Saturday night) you would at least get some free coffee and more than 10 channels! Would not stay here again, unless it was cheaper maybe $79 or $89. It's not like it was full or expecting a large influx of lots of guests, being late on a Saturday night. I counted maybe six cars in the parking lot the next morning. Bust! Just about everything the next day was closed being Sunday. Really felt like I spent too much. Had a great time in Lancaster, though.…
Was in the area for a show at the American Music Theater and decided to try this inn for a one night stay. Loved the country feeling it evokes and especially the beautiful quilts on the bed which made the room feel very cozy and warm. Staff at check in was very personable and helpful. Missed having a mini fridge in the room, and a queen bed (my room had double beds). Seemed very odd and dark at night though, coming back after the show, to not have the office open. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and the price could not be beat. Would consider staying there again.
My wife and I have been coming here for years. The staff is always so friendly and the Inn is just perfect. If you looking for something not so commercial this is the place to stay. You will not be disappointed!
As a last minute decision, I booked to stay for the weekend with my son. The service was friendly and kind. The room was clean and very comfortable. This was a fabulous experience, and well worth the price. While checking out, I met a couple who comes regularly and always stays here. They were treated like family. It was heartwarming to see. My son and I were always greeted with true hospitality. Highly recommend.
