Stayed one night at the guest house. The room was clean and comfortable and Leonie was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed and this was very disappointing. I would avoid a front room on a Saturday night, lots of noise from the Pub as people left and a big loud brawl at 2 in the morning. Hopefully... More

I love an open fireplace and here I didn't get to start it but I thoroughly enjoyed stoking the fire into a roaring warming blaze. With shiraz in hand on a cold night there is nothing better. Leonie the owner is meticulously attentive to all your needs. We stayed a Tuesday night when unfortunately the Vault Restaurant was closed but... More

Stayed 2 nights in the Garden Room. Very private, nice and comfortable. The Vault Restaurant in the front of the old Bank was superb, great service and food. Housekeeping not up to previous standard though!

We needed a place to break our journey from the Southern Highlands to Tweed Heads and found this place a shot drive west of Taree. It is a beautiful, heritage building which has been tastefully restored. Downstairs at the front is a terrific restaurant with linen table cloths, great food at reasonable prices and some very dedicated young wait staff... More

We stayed one night in the family room - which is very nice as not only is it tastefully furnished but the 2- way bathroom separates parents from kids. Beds were comfy and staff friendly and efficient. We had a lovely dinner - very reasonably priced - in the restaurant and enjoyed some Orange wine. Breakfast consisted of a comprehensive... More

After a hard time checking in (no one was there), I was beginning to regret my decision to stay here, but when we finally got in with an apologetic complementary beer my first impressions killed the negative mood I was in. Lovely old bank converted so well, full of antiques and memorabilia. We had the whole place to ourselves, comfortable... More

This is a great concept, guesthouse in an old bank. The place offers rooms inside and a stand alone cottage. I booked the cottage 6 weeks prior and had confirmation. The day before I get a call saying that cottage wasn't available but they have something similar. The something similar was upstairs in the "old bank". Room and furnishings were... More

Hi David. My sincerest apologies on the room change disappointment. If you had mentioned the hip replacement we certainly would have kept you in the cottage out the back. The two external cottages allow for patrons with pets, and given you did not have a pet we told people enquiring that we would ask if a room swap was ok.... More

Pleasant friendly homely away from the rat race. Family orientated. Memories of what the classic bank was. Heritage town of Wingham Classic style homes lots of flying foxes. Good country style service.

Loved my stay at the bank guesthouse. Comfortable rooms, a relaxed and friendly vibe from the town and the staff at the guesthouse. Awesome breakfast and set up, just what you want as a traveler. Would definitely recommend :) would like to say thank you again to all the staff you helped make our stay an enjoyable one.

Pictures on the website are so different to the actual place. We stayed at the smallest 'cottage' ever (Just can't trust the pictures). Everything in the room is so basic with weird smell. A small TV was placed so up front that hardly enjoy watching it on bed. Found the leftover milk in the fridge and bowl of flour under... More

Weird smell - customer stayed with their dog in the pet-friendly cottage. The 'flour' under the bed, as was explained to the customer, was bi-carb to reduce pet odours. Feedback on the cleanliness of the room, 'leftover milk' in the fridge and cockroaches/ants certainly taken on board - we took over management 2-weeks earlier and have since replaced housekeeping and...
