After long days of traveling we booked the Duke Suite, looking for a comfy bed and nice spa. The room was just as pictured, big comfy bed and nice large spa. But it was not clean!!! As we walked in the first time the spider webs across the floor were breaking on our legs. I lost count of how many...

My partner an I stayed here 2 nights whilst visiting family, location was great right in town however right on the hill so you felt separated from the local streets an loud pubs. Room was small we ugraded to ensuite as I was not sharing a bathroom. Room was pretty modern has air con however it only went to a...

Stayed here for one night and loved the history of the place, we found the nurses quarters accommodation very clean, comfortable and good facilities overall. We had a shared bathroom which was very clean and roomy. Enjoyed the common area with plenty of room to relax, have a cuppa and read up on the surrounding areas of interest out in...

This place used to be the hospital and opened 1903. So much history and it has been maintained well. We stayed in the Duchess Suite and it was amazing. Staff nice, gardens pretty and location was handy. No breakfast provides but it is close to local cafes.

We booked at the last minute whilst driving south to stay for a night in the standard double room with shared bathroom. On our very late arrival, we were upgraded to the standard room with ensuite ... we were the only people in the building (nurses quarters). This upgrade did make it good value as the units in the nearby...

Very clean, I booked the one with the bathroom and no complaints. I had the 2 beds and was very spacious. Beautiful old building, has a massive common area which would be good if travelling in groups to sit and chat. Was cold room on arrival, but warmed up quickly with heating and the electric blanket was excellent.

We were only staying one night, so stayed in the guest house accommodation. It was very large and lovely. Wonderful beds, good bathroom. Unfortunately we are unused to air conditioning and couldn't work it to warm up our room - however, we snuggled into our bed, early. Also, unfortunately we were there when the kitchen/dining wasn't open for an evening...

So pleased I chose this place to stay - Hermitage Hill Country Retreat - with its amazing garden setting and history. On arrival we were upgraded to the Duke Suite which was very roomy and classic to say the least. The spa bathroom was very spacious and I always love a spa!!! The wooden floor boards added to the history...

I loved the atmosphere in the entire complex, we stayed in the blue stone building which was so special and the staff made our stay fantastic. We dinned in the restaurant which was delicious and the views were magnificent to say the least. I would highly recommend that if you are going to Wellington that you look no further!
