We stayed here with our two daughters in a family room for four nights. The room had a great view of the Montaim too. It was a small room and a squeeze however comsidering the price I think it's great value. Basic breakfast was included and staff were friendly Just don't expect lots of space. However we were there to...

Great value lodge & location! Very close to village square and minutes to the lifts. It's basic, clean, warm and cozy. Staff at front desk were very accommodating and helpful. Loved the view from our window too.

We recently stayed at the Black Bear Inn. The room was very clean and warm and although it's an older traditional property, which we liked, it is fresh and clean throughout. Our package included a dinner, which was excellent. We were able to park out the front and the view from our room amazing. To top it all off, it...

With two teenagers that we see only at lunchtime and once lifts close, the Black Bear Inn was a great place for our family to stay. The staff were very helpful and the meals were great. The Black Bear has a really friendly atmosphere and was surprisingly quiet at night given the number of diners in the restaurant. Views of...

Very busy and good service but over heated and noisy Schnitzel was the go with 3 large chick veal and pork on the plate enough easily for 2. Good sides of veg and wine list Duck looked good but the knife just couldn't cut it Tip - rigorous questioning when ordering needed

Thank you for taking the time to review your dining experience at the Black Bear Inn. Believe it or not but the majority of people do manage to get through a trio of schnitzels. It is disappointing to know that your duck dish was not tender enough to cut with a knife and would like to apologise for that. We...

We booked a room for 3 people. It was well presented, with clean beds, carpets and curtains and bathroom. Maybe recently refurbished? (Under the bed needed a vac - but I only discovered this when I was checking out of the room). We found Reception and bar/restaurant staff to be friendly and we especially liked our evening 2-course meal. Breakfast...

Thank you for writing a review on your stay at the Black Bear Inn. The points you have raised have been noted, and special attention is being given to same. One point I would like to raise is that the Black Bear Inn provides ' lodge style ' accommodation, which basically means that the the main purpose is to provide...

Black Bear Inn was an experience in itself. Where do I begin? Room - dirty and terribly old! Dust hanging from the ceilings, dusty and dirty carpets, (never vacuumed during 1 week stay) dusty bed sheets from the stuff that comes down from the ceiling Bathroom - mouldy, stinky, always wet shower curtain (who puts a thick cotton shower curtains...

Black Bear Inn provides cosy accommodation at a great price by Thredbo standards. The accommodation is clean and has a few little nice touches such as the chocolate on the pillow. With a hearty breakfast included in the price and sensational views overlooking the Thredbo ski runs this is a place definitely worth staying at when visiting Thredbo at any...

Absolutely terrible food. I asked for some olive oil for the bread and they bought 'a mix of vegetable oil and olive oil' that looked like canola oil. I sent it back and said forget it. Then the kids pasta came out uncooked. Had to send that back too. Overpriced rubbish Thredbo food again. Do yourself a favour and give...

The comments you have written above are noted. As one of the owners of the Black Bear Inn business, I strongly object to your subject suggestion of ' Needs a new owner'. I find it difficult to understand how you can justify this comment from being disappointed about the dinner food you received whilst dining at the Black Bear Inn...
