This place is perfect for a stop on a long road trip with the family. The family rooms are very large and they threw in a continental breakfast which was actually pretty good. We had a meal in the restaurant that night and it was very good with generous serves. I would definitely stay here again for an overnight stay....

Old English style motel, large rooms, large bathrooms, lovely very large grounds to wander around. Continental breakfast included plenty to choose from, in lovely terrace area, or, order a heartier breakfast( not included) good parking. On the highway but set back far enough, very quiet nights sleep, good parking.

We stayed in a family double room. The room appeared to have been recently refurbished with tasteful tiling, a modern bthroom and serviceable carpetting. The rooms were furnished with comfortable beds, a full family dining setting and lunge along with a desk. Access to a central grassed courtyard was appealling and the restaurant-dining area was well appointed and staff were...

Room #32, had two beds, large room, was surprisingly quiet for being near the highway. Carpet had seen better days, but the room was clean. Had a pool but didn't use it, it was a little cool in the season.

Not sure why it is listed as port Stephens as it is not close to there. Based not far from Pacific Highway, but far enough away not to hear highway noise. It is very clean even if the rooms are in need of a minor upgrade. Rooms are very large for a motel. Only stayed the one night but would...

Had a family reunion at this motel and would have to say I was very impressed. For a start it is not like any other motel I have stayed at. It sits on six acres of very nice gardens and looks more like an upmarket resort. Eveything about this place I found good. Very nice large rooms, exceptionaly clean, good...

Stayed four nights at the Sir Francis Drake Inn. Very spacious room, very comfortable and quiet. The only disappointment was the carpet, the light coloured carpet shows the marks, and there's a lot to see. Needs a good clean. Otherwise a very comfortable stay.

I have stayed at this motel since it first opened 32 years ago. I would average a stay at least twice a year but many times much more than that. The rooms are unbelievable, they are large, clean and very well appointed. Even though the motel is getting on in age it is well maintained and looked after. The staff...
