Our group of older travellers spend 2 nights here. While the room is a little dated, it was spacious and clean. Our outside terrace overlooked an amazing gardens and water views. Meals were delicious and the staff really looked after us. Well done Salamander Resort

We stayed as part of a large coach group of disabled travellers, based at the Salamander Shores for 7 days. The staff were very helpful & made the effort to ensure our stay was comfortable. The meals, served in our own group room, were tasty, varied & hot, considering they were cooked elsewhere on the premises. The buffet breakfast was...

Three of us were doing a road trip. One from England. The best things were the bird noises, the balcony facing a lush nook of garden - where kookaburras landed and the modern/renovated bathroom (wheelchair room). There's a cute wharf/beach right behind the hotel but it looks a bit seaweed to swim. But it's a stunning area. All staff were...

My wife and I had a one night getaway and chose Salamanders shores as it was not to far away to travel. At reception we had a warm welcome and was quickly processed and given our room. The area surrounding the Hotel is a long known holiday area and has anything you may require to enjoy your stay. The room...

we recently stayed in a Bayview spa suite and had a relaxing time with magic views of the bay, waking to the sounds of birds and the waves. Our room and bathroom were very clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the outdoor courtyard with water views. A few metres below the hotel...

Yes this is an older hotel and is in need of renovations. In saying that we had a large room with spa. Balcony overlooked garden with lots of trees. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Bed was okay as were the pillows. Check in was easy and friendly. Breakfast was included and was a buffet style....

Unfortunately the style of the hotel is working against it. It is classic terrible 60's/70's design which does it no favours. The staff were friendly enough and told me of an excellent restaurant nearby. The car park was being partly resurfaced when I arrived which meant a longish walk dragging bags. The hotel room faced the ocean and was very...

I think my review on this would be as follows - Staff lovely and found them extremely polite. The rooms old and our bathroom was in need of upgrading. The view on the balcony was great. The actual pub was fantastic and great atmosphere and country feel. I think honestly Port Stephens needs a modern Hotel to capture this beautiful...
