From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. The reception staff were very professional and made us very welcome. Plenty of information about the local area was also provided. Our caravan site was easily accessed and the overall location, squeezed between two beautiful beaches and the Nelson Bay Lighthouse, was perfect. We had 6 wonderful...

nice large clean double slab sites. Easy to get van in. close to 2 very clean swimming areas and parks. Easy walk (20min) to either town center. lots of restaurants and local club nearby. Excellent lookout (old lighthouse) above the park with great tea rooms and fantastic views of the whole bay area.

I took my partner away for a few nights and stayed in a cabin! We will be back as soon as possible when we can afford it. I must admit it was very expensive, so cannot go as often as we would like. ☀️😎

We came to Halifax Holiday Park just before closing time, but the people were really helpfull and guided us quickly to a spot. The facilities were great. Showers and toilets worked properly and were clean and tidy. The next day, we saw that they did some construction work on the camp grounds. Could have been a problem, but it wasn't:...

The park has such an ideal position. Beach access on both sides amenities are clean and well maintained. We had a wonderful four days. If it had a pool it would be 5 stars but with the beach so close we didn't miss it. They also had activities for the kids being school holidays. The kiosk has essentials but at...

We chose Halifax Holiday Park as a good location. We were not disappointed. It is close to all the lovely areas of the region. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback was we were there during a Public Holiday which meant it was crowded. However, that did not detract from its location.

First encounters with staff were great. Very happy and accommodating. Park itself so so. No rubbish bins, you have to walk to the front gate. Huge amenities blocked off for too long for cleaning considering how many there are. Nice location..20 mins walk to Nelson Bay.

“If you want a better view of the beach, perhaps some of the other cabins would be better not facing the carpark....”

“We had our own camper trailer so no room tip. We would have liked some afternoon shade on our camper but apparently the tree which previously shaded our area had to be removed for safety reasons. Maybe plant a new tree? Also we were a fairly late booking so perhaps if we booked earlier we would have had a shadier spot in the late afternoon sun. We were just happy to be able to get a booking at late notice. ”
