We stayed last weekend and really benefited from having only us stay over the weekend. Having the place to ourselves was delightful and the staff very friendly - we engaged in regular chats with Adam and the two sausage dog Jack and Jill. Our room round the back proved successful as there was no noise yet another guest said the...

A weekend away with friends became a very special experience because of the atmosphere and great service at this lovely hotel. Dinner in the restaurant was very good. Breakfast was a little basic but plentiful and well presented. A slight problem with plumbing was attended to with the appropriate attention and concern. The rooms are very spacious and very well...

Myself and my partner visited the Fitzroy Inn for the weekend. It wasn't terrible, however for $370 per night I'd have liked to have a shower that actually had pressure. It was impossible to wash my hair. The trains going past the room weren't ideal, nor was hearing everything everyone was doing upstairs. I know it's an old building but...

We found the people to be very helpful and friendly. The self guided tour around the house and ground was very informative interesting and we enjoyed doing it in our own pace. I would highly recommend this establishment to everyone who would like a restful and memorable time out.

Sensational food and great service! The restaurant is a recent addition to this beautiful historic Inn. We also had a fascinating tour of the cellars with it's original 1830s kitchen, inside well and convict cells.

Attended a work dinner at the restaurant. Loved the relaxed atmosphere of the building and the historical elements on display. We were given a mini tour of cellars before the meal as well. Food was amazing all 3 courses. Friendly service and there was even a young man playing the harp as we dined!

Hi Renee, thank you for your review. We are so glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and historical elements of the building. The harp player is very popular here at the Fitzroy Inn, so we are happy you enjoyed it. We hope to see you here again soon.

When we first arrived at the Fitzroy Inn on the eve of our Nephew's wedding we were surprised by the very low key approach from the management and staff. However, we realised fairly quickly that our wedding group had taken over the hotel for the weekend and that we were to treat this as more of a country house rather...

Hello, thank you for your review. We are delighted to read that everything went well for the wedding and you were able to enjoy a scotch in December, as it's winter in the UK at this time! Hope you come and visit us again soon.

We spent 2 nights at Fitzroy Inn - Christmas Eve and Christmas night. Our booking had been a bit fiddly to organise because it was for our extended family and involved finding accommodation for us, our daughters and their husbands and 6 grandchildren. Simone was very efficient and helpful in suggesting the most appropriate rooms for each family and in...

We revisited the Fitzroy Inn last night as guests at the restaurant and had a lovely experience. The food was great, my husband had the steak and it was served exactly as he wanted - rare to medium and he could have used a butter knife to cut it. I had the salmon which delicious - particularly the skin which...

I was part of a larger group with a limited selection menu. This is not the best position from which to judge a restaurant as it usually means corners have been cut somewhere. BUT not today at the Fitzroy Inn, I was well pleased with my visit. People: Welcoming, professional and friendly. Staff seemed genuinely interested in their guests. Even...
