Very basic and old but clean room value for money. No cover over vehicles. Very friendly staff. Close enough to walk the town right next to the Art Gallery of John Murray worth a look very impressive art works. Basic bistro style food at the RSL Club. Nice wood fired pizza, pasta in the next street an easy walk. They...

Stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed my visit. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of lightning ridge and within walking distance to everything. The owner is friendly and full of information to help you enjoy your time here.

Yes it's old, but it is very clean and comfy, very friendly staff and great value at only $85 for the night. Got to town after driving all day from Brisbane and did not have a booking, the manager was more than happy to accommodate us and even arranged for us to have a room at the end of the...

Arriving in town at night without a booking, I took pot luck and stayed here after seeing that some other places were asking up to $100 per night. I paid $75 here and could not fault anything, my room had two beds with a good reading light, TV, kettle and toaster. It was a bit old, but very clean, and...

Not a bad place. One major issue however I had is the fact that the front wall is all windows, and the curtains while not see through are not blackout and light gets in through in the morning. Would be great to see blackout curtains there to provide privacy and let people sleep.

Although our motel was average it was very clean, comfortable, and had every facility we could want. Our hostess was absolutely wonderful and made our stay memorable. Location was right near the centre of town and handy to the Bowls Club where all and sundry dine. The Telstra Air WiFi was only a couple of minutes away and this made...

You have about three choices in Lightening Ridge - this is one of them and this is a gem (pardon the pun). We selected this motel because we knew no better (saw it in Lonely Planet) and lived to celebrate the decision. At $80.00 a night you get a clean, modest size air conditioned room right in the middle of...

I visited here in May, 2012. Stayed for three nights. The motel is central to everything in Lightning Ridge. The breakfasts to the room are good. The rooms are of an older type but are clean and roomy, and good value for money, with all the usual; t.v., a/c, toaster, tea & coffee maker, etc. All rooms have at least...

Friendly manager who could not do enough to assist us! Very good cheap accommodation! Comfortable bed with clean linen. Very satisfactory shower and toilet which were both clean and fresh. Shower is not suitable for wheelchair access! Short walk to venues for café and meals. Would definitely stay here again!

Rocked up at the ridge without pre-booking accommodation. June is a busy time at the Ridge due to the mines 'running'. Luckily we were able to secure a room here. Room was clean although a bit tired and was in need of some tlc. Beds were clean and comfy
