My experience was shocking. Hot water tap in shower seized. Very warm night so windows open but no screens. Last straw I stepped on minute shard of glass that pierced the sole of my foot on wooden floorboards. Left a note for management but no response. I will not include the photo of the wound out of consideration for readers.

This place was beyond terrible. We walked in and discovered it was literally just a room with beds crammed in. There was no air con, no fan, one powerpoint, the window was broken and being held up by a (also broken) table lamp. It was disgustingly hot. We didn't even pull back the covers before we decided we couldn't stay.... More

went in here with a large group following a function. The place was packed, was extremely stuffy and hot. Good atmosphere. Large outdoors area. Band playing on the Saturday night. A good local. Certainly worth dropping in for one '!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stayed here with three friends for one night. Our room had two bunk beds and a sink. The window unfortunately faced into the building so the light was through a sun roof. The communal showers were decent with good water pressure and relative cleanliness. I would have much rather stayed on a cold night, because the room was extremely... More

Room 19 is a single bed room with two windows - one view out towards the ocean. This is an old style Aussie pub with small rooms and shared amenities (toilet, shower, tea making, TV, power point). I couldn't fault it for the price of $49. Staff friendly as were other visitors. It is very basic and old fashioned (perhaps... More

The price does not reflect the accomodation. At this price level the rooms should all be clean, with clean sheets, freshly painted, dust free and with some decor. We were handed the keys for room 12 which had stained sheets and the carpets in the place need an overhaul. No Air conditioning so a stay in summer would be out... More

The grand hotel isn't grand...its not a hotel in any sense other than the traditional Ozzy pub....this is an old pub with backpacker accommodation upstairs. Saturday night, the band plays til after midnight and young local scallywags run around with no clothes on...at least the night we stayed. The rooms are BASIC. Having said that, the bed (only furniture in... More

We arrived in Kiama late in the afternoon and needed a place to stay for the night with no booking, we stopped at this beautiful pub and enquired about accomdation, out off the two options one being in the pub a double room with shared bathroom or a suite at the back off the hotel, we picked the suite and... Had the Sunday roast which was an dnormous serving of pork, potatoes and pumpkin. Ive no idea why there were no greens, but the rest of the meal was pretty good value. Plus they had 150 lashes PA on tap so thats always a bonus.

Bathrooms dirty and taps missing, other patrons smoking in the common areas, and outside the window the amount of cigarette butts tells you it happens a lot, men were also using the female amenities', and the barrier around the stairs at our door way was very dangerous, cant believe it passes legal requirements
