We experienced a delightful old hotel pub in Gosford NSW. Built in 1929,
The old character of the hotel still shined through every bit of wood work through out its corridors and riding the “old school” elevator was a hoot indeed.

NO AIRCONDITIONING in ANY rooms!!
40+° heatwave - no sleep.
Walls and windows rattled when train and trucks went by.
No toilet or shower in rooms.
Cockroach visitors at night.
Horrible hotel experience.More

Everything was as described. Room was clean with sink, small fridge, small tv and ceiling fan. Shared bathroom was clean and functional. Worth the money paid.

It’s a nice looking building on the outside, clearly has a focus on one aspect of the business. The bistro and bar area looks quite tired and dated, although clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly.
We went for dinner I had a breast of chicken with avocado and prawns in garlic sauce,the chicken had a bone in it so no breast the avocado was black so was not happy,my husband had a steak dish which he said was lovely.
