Above all our expectations with hospitality, service and personality. We are so grateful to Management, Craig and Stephanie for showing us a wonderful time at their beautifully restored country pub. The food tasted delicious and local produce was sourced. I ate the vegetable laska which was amazing. Beautifully presented meals and we were a table of eight people (4 x...

Very comfortable and clean accommodation. Away from the towns main street in a quiet location. Close to RSL and bowling club (short walk away). Ate in the Settlers Arms restaurant and was excellent. Although very busy, the service was prompt and friendly. Recommend for accommodation and a meal.

We were staying at Carriageways in Dungog, where the owner also has an interest in the Settlers Arms, and offered us a meal voucher. We used the voucher the first night of our stay in Dungog, and enjoyed the meal so much that we went back another night (paying for our own meal). The staff were very friendly, and the...

From the moment we walked into the Settlers Arms we felt welcome and knew this would be reflected in the service. Shown our rooms, a safe place to park the bikes and being advised that the restaurant was fully booked, but they had kept a table for us, great service. Wonderful beds, bathrooms etc all great, then we have the...

Super friendly staff and beautifully done pub accommodation. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Everything supplied for an enjoyable stay in Dungog at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended and certainly my pick of the accommodation available.

If you like a chef who understands food, not too crowded, amazingly good local produce, staff who know their trade and have great past experience. This is the pub for you. Accomodation is very clean, simple as pub should be but generous. A pub with heart, sophistication but completely relaxed

Loved our stay at the Settlers Arms. We felt really at home there. Our ensuite room was perfect, the bed was comfortable, there were plenty of little nooks to get comfortable in for conversation or just to settle down into with a book to read. Continental breakfast was good, bar service nice, with an interesting selection of beers. We had...

This is an old pub in town that I drank at during my youth, back then it was a beer soaked country pub. Now that it has been renovated and given some TLC it is one of the best places to stay at that I have ever used. Still has that country pub feel with very friendly staff and fantastic...

Recommended by some locals we didn't know this pub existed! First impressions were good, beer good, so we ordered a bruschetta to snack on, Lovely! Another whale beer from Murrays brewery, then from tapas menu we had the salt & pepper squid with a chilli jam, ooh so good!! So we had another beer & ordered our mains, schnitzel veal...
