Good value and great atmosphere. Clean comfortable basic accomodation. Stayed in the 5 bed cabins. Need mosquito repellant otherwise all good. Pool table and good cafe. Brewery also good next door. Comfy beds and clean showers / toilets.

The common areas are nice, big pool, cafe available... but the toilets are very dirty! They should clean them more than once a day specially in peak season like long weekends.. The rooms have the correct size and the beds are fine. Is quite far from the beach and the town (like 10 minutes walking) so I wouldn't recommend it.

Dear Merysapemu, thanks for writing a review. I am glad to hear you enjoyed some parts of the hostel :) We actually clean the bathrooms 3 times per day at 6.30 am /12 noon and 8.30 pm. Even though they get messy, they are hygienic. We are very happy to hear the rooms are the correct size and beds are...

Rooms and bathrooms especially were disgusting. The hostel sits right beside a swap which means the entire place is full of Mosquitos. Quite far from town as well about a 15 minute walk in complete darkness. Do yourself a favour and stay anywhere else.

The hostel is amazing and very nice vibes. We personally don't have light in our room in all the weekend and we claim twice and nobody take care or fix it, a shame. Beside that, the rest was fantastic

Thanks for your review Coco. Glad to hear you enjoyed the hostel. We had an emergency electrical problem that was not easy to fix, it required an Electrician to come and fix the circuit, but they could not make it in for two days because of the Easter holiday - so sorry for the inconvenience. Happy travels :)

We stayed 1 night in the "Love" room which has a double bed and private bathroom. The hot water was lukewarm, but we only expected cold water so it was fine. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and there was a fan in the room instead of AC. The weather was crisp and the windows had screens so we slept with...

Completely under staffed and I was never given my welcome package when I first got there.... and the next day when I asked to get it; so I could use the one free hour of wifi to download information about my bus, I was refused.

Hi Kelsey, I am sorry to hear of your problems, the welcome pack is given out by the travel desk, and we had it closed for Easter as there is a huge music festival (Bluesfest) in Byron over Easter so we get a lot of Aussie's in for the festival. It is not worth our while to pay fr staff...

Tried to camp here with a group for a farewell night out, service was awful, staff were useless, overpriced, dank even for a hostel, paid to sleep in the parking lot and still got woken up in the morning by staff for no reason.

Thanks for you feedback Hayden. Could you please ring me to discuss further. Our phone number is 02 6685 7709. Just ask for the manager in relation to a trip adviser review and say I asked you to call. I would like to get some specific feedback on the issues you had with the staff. Thank you.

I know its a backpacker hostel but hoped it would be a lot cleaner the fan had that much dirt on it i opted to not turn it on and the fly screen in the toilet had so much muck and grime on the mesh air couldn't even pass through

Not for everybody, but a cool place. A creative atmosphere, where everybody (including the personal) is very relaxing. It is not a central location. You are surrounded by nature, but no more than a 10 minute walk from the main road in the city. Not the most clean hostel though. But if you can live with that, you'll most likely...

Thanks for your review ffbendix. Glad you enjoyed your stay, but I am disappointed to hear you found us "not clean". We clean constantly, the kitchen has a cleaner rostered from 10 am to 1 am ( 13 hours), the bathrooms are deep cleaned 3 times a day, and the rooms cleaned at check out. We are very hectic and...

We are older than the average guest here, our room was named the love shack which really made us laugh. veryfriendly helpful staff. Great pool that we enjoyed . Would revisit again if back in Byron, as the atomosphere was so reminiscent of my earlier traveling days.
