A comfortable, clean motel with all the things you need. The owners are friendly and extremely helpful, very flexible check in and check out. We had the room with double glass doors, sit on the bed and look out over the field. A lovely quiet spot, short walk into town

Beautiful place & hospitality. The owners are so lovely and would do anything to help. They are eco friendly, utilising solar power for energy, in conjunction with great ideas and design to conserve energy. There are cute animals on the property like goats, dogs and to top it off wild platypus in the creek. We really loved staying here.

A group of us have stayed at Torpys on a number of occasions. We bring bikes to cycle the many quiet pretty roads in the area. Every time the motel has been excellent for our needs. We love the comfy group/family area over in the historic house with fire and deck. Sunsets over the paddock to the stream an added... More

We had a lovely stay in the Georgian Room - a spacious two room suite with a large deck, providing views over the paddock and down to the creek. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable, the shower had good hot water, there was little road or other noise and the slow combustion fire warmed the room beautifully. The building... More

I always stay at torpys whenever I vist my friends in braidwood.I can definitely say that the room that I am given is always clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. I enjoy the beautiful scenery around the town and the magnificent old buildings. I also like to eat out and try the local farmers produce. However, there is one... More

The motel is absolutely disgusting, the carpet was filthy, the sheets were stained and the towels had rips and bleach marks. I had to pay a deposit when I booked which was quite strange, and when we were shown our room I immediately asked for my deposit back as I was horrified with the quality of the room. The owners... Stayed one night at Torpys Motel in October 2015. Room was old, carpet felt like it needed a good clean but owner told me they were renovating other rooms and this room was the last on the list. He promised me a renovated room at the same tariff for my next stay! Owner was weird, paced up and down pretending... More

My partner and I regularly travel to Braidwood and have never until now decided to stay, thinking it would be too expensive but one night it got too late and we decided to look for a motel. We rang around and all the hotels and motels in Braidwood didn't have rooms available or so we were told, I found them... More

We stayed in one the motel rooms which had been lovingly renovated by Andy. The room and bed was very comfortable with lovely views across the paddock to a creek. The room comes with a flat screen TV, microwave, toaster, eco friendly tea and coffee making facilities and a full set of crockery and cutlery.
