Have just spent a very pleasant afternoon on the outside terrace of the Nare Hotel quarterdeck, enjoying the full afternoon tea. There was more than enough food, and our waiter was happy to parcel up our leftover shortbread to take home. Although the food was delicious, and the staff very pleasant and efficient, the real star is the view. Cornwall...

Immediate realisation on arrival that the staff were the key to the success of this singularly different hotel. Delightful room with all we required with a view over the back. The hotel is home to an extraordinary collection of modern pictures - prints, etchings and paintings. There are many very interesting photos of old racing yachts and fascinating models of...

In one of the most beautiful locations in Cornwall we had a sea view room with balcony. The views are stunning and lying in bed listening to the waves on the beach is very special. It is such a shame that the interior of the hotel is so disappointing. It is akin to staying with a very aged relative. I...

The first view of the hotel gives one the distinct impression this is not 4 stars. The web pictures of the outside look so much better. The exterior of the building is in need of serious updating, if not renovation. Once you go inside however it is much better and certainly 4 star standard. The lounges are nicely decorated and...

After visiting the local beach we stopped in for a spot of lunch. On first appearance the Hotel looks a bit run down from outside. But to be honest it's more cosy and very clean! We had our dogs with us; so we were able to sit on the terrace. They also do a full dog menu- but you can...

Like many this year, we decided to stay in the UK for our main holiday. After deciding on Cornwall, we were pleased to find the Nare's website and promptly booked it. Given its reputation as the best hotel in Cornwall for the last 20 years, we expected something special. On the plus side, the hotel has an attractive view over...

This a very. beautiful hotel in a stunning setting. The staff were very polite and in the main, very helpful. The rooms are beautifully appointed. The attention to detail is impressive. Sadly, some of the points, that I felt were too important not to discreetly raise, were not, in my opinion, satisfactorily addressed, but more importantly, were not satisfactorily resolved....

Due to a few less than complimentary reviews on Trip Advisor I had reservations about spending five days at the Nare. Wow was I wrong! We booked more than a year in advance and were able to snare the Garden Suite; well worth all the effort and the dollars. Can't recommend it more highly, large with a terrace and a...

This real hideaway offers everything you can wish for on a perfect Cornish beach holiday. From the silver spoons to the linen sheets to the grilled fish and the desert trolly every detail was of high quality and class. Astonishing that with the highest standard all around the atmosphere was still not stiff. The staff are not only perfectionist but...
