We decide to book a table at 6.30pm, and after a long coastal walk we arrived a bit early and they were not open, so as the heavens were throwing what they could at us we took shelter near by and waited. As it happened one of the bar staff arrived early to open up and he let us in.... More

We booked two nights at the New Inn at the last minute and took both rooms to accommodate our family of four, including our 11 and 9 year old children. The rooms were very clean and well equipped whilst the staff were all lovely with us throughout the stay. The breakfasts were amazing and we also ate dinner in the... More

Stopped by the New Inn for lunch during a long circular walk of the area. Having read previous reviews we were very disappointed. Food was average but very expensive. We had 2 large cokes and two filled baguettes and the bill was over £25.00.

We were staying close by, and dined here one evening. The landlord was very friendly and accommodating (the pub was booked and busy, but we were able to be fitted in), some of the locals chatted easily; we felt most welcome here. St Austell ales were kept in lovely condition. The meal was superb, all local produce and tasted wonderful.... More

Excellent food, we dined there twice in our week visit, excellent service even the music was excellent, I highly recommend this for its local food, great warmth and old world charm. The Beer is a bit pricey but you leave not begrudging the outlay. We will definitely visit again.

Proper traditional pub with a warm welcome.......doggies are allowed on one side of the bar. We always eat here when we stay at Veryan, the scallops to start, followed by mushroom stroganoff, it is absolutely gorgeous....it would be nice to try something else but we fear we might be disappointed! It's always seems busy so best book a table -... More

Excellent!!! Terrific welcome in this super period pub and our stay for the week in the B&B was great, as I expected it would be! I stayed here back in 2011 and recently come back to Veryan for a weeks break again, this time with my fiancé, and I was not disappointed. Both Suzanne and Colin were superb welcoming hosts... More

I've been to the New Inn many times when in the Roseland Peninsula. Each time the welcome has been warm - Colin the Landlord smiles at me when I come in, as if he only saw me just last week, and asks me if I'd like the usual 'pint of Rattler.' The pub is old, has beams and an excellent... More

Called here for a snack lunch and we weren't disappointed with the menu options. I opted for the crab sandwiches and my wife a jacket potato with tuna. Both were nicely presented and were in line with Cornwall prices ! I rounded off with a crumble dessert. We enjoyed both snacks.Seemed to have a reasonable selection of beers, lagers and... More

Pint of Tribute & small glass of rose £8.50. £2 more than our local in picturesque Charlestown. Yocals sat around on stools right in the doorway, felt very klicky.
