This place was a vaguely weird experience. I have never stayed anywhere where there seemed to be an 'in-crowd' and in which those who did not know the manager personally were somehow superfluous. Now - my wife and I are not exactly the kind of people who expect to barrel into hilarious badinage with the staff - but we do...

Where to begin, The hotel is located on one of the most beautiful locations, but location alone is not enough. We had the most unusual welcome ever, nobody ever said welcome. The owner took our name and disappeared in his office for about 10 minutes without saying one word and just left us there. We got a room the size...

Firstly let me thank you for taking the time to review the Housel Bay Hotel. It was with much regret to read that your visit to the Housel Bay was not satisfactory. I intend to address each issue that has arisen in your review. Let me remind you that I did not disappear during your check-in I simply said I...

Really enjoyed staying in this hotel,, the location was brilliant directly on the South West Coastpath and the views were amazing in both directions. The hotel is now a bit tired and probably needs a facelift but we didn't need a state of the art white box and it has loads of character, bit like staying in a museum, loads...

The Housel Bay Hotel is really just an average place, with decent food, in an excellent location. Would recommend to a friend, but only with the above disclaimer. We liked the Cornish staff, as it felt more authentic.

Set just about as far south as you can go on the UK mainland this hotel is far removed from your usual bland offerings. The rooms are spacious and clean with all the facilities you could want and with the coastal footpath right on the doorstep the location is ideal for walkers. The food was good and the setting of...

We have just held a 90th birthday party for my father at the Housel Bay Hotel. The weather was perfect, the staff were fantastic and helped us in every way possible. Food was delicious and we really enjoyed our couple of days staying at the hotel. Thank you Housel Bay!

We visited Housel Bay Hotel back In January, least to say the weather on this particular day was sunny!! The staff were very quick in getting our drinks which was fantastic, and also the food which arrived with our order was outstanding! We ordered one of the 'Housel Bay classics' Beefburger, needless to say it was the biggest burger i...

We returned to Housel Bay after seven years, and were relieved to find that it hasn't been completely refurbished! although there has been some alteration and decoration. The owners, in our opinion, have updated the right things and left the right things, giving a perfect blend of comfort and cleanliness with quirkiness and character. There is so much of interest...

We are situated in a spectacular location at the Lizard in Cornwall. A lovely sandy cove nestles beneath the Hotel, and the Cornish Coast Path runs through the gardens and cliff lands. A place in which to walk, to eat and drink well and to set aside the cares of the world.
