Certificate of Excellence
The Rashleigh Arms was built in 1851 on the foundations of old clay cellars and was given its name after the creator of Charlestown Harbour, formerly West Polmear, Charles Rashleigh. It also boasts probably one of the only Grade II listed car parks in the country, basically the site of old coal storage yards, and is situated in a World Heritage Site. The Rashleigh is ideally positioned in central Cornwall and provides an excellent jump off point for lots of great attractions with the world famous Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan within five miles radius. We are also within sight of the historic Tall Ships and Charlestown harbour, a world heritage site and an attraction in itself. The Pub has moved with times and although over 150 years old boasts eight four star gold rated rooms, a public bar, popular with the locals that shows all live sport and has great bands every fortnight. Our lounge bar is fantastic for relaxing in with large leather sofas and armchairs with a touch of historic Charlestown. The restaurant is modern, open plan and serves locally sourced food from 12 - 9pm every day; and if the weather's good our patio and garden is the ideal place to spend a few hours or more!

I so want this pub to be back where it was and we keep giving it another chance but I think that the roast served up yesterday is beyond redemption. We were in a party of 15 or so and credit to the staff they...More

Staff are always great in the Rash but we were disappointed with our food especially the burgers tonight, we paid £16 each for burgers with bacon and pulled pork but the burgers were so small with no salad/coleslaw and were very average, I appreciate a...More

This was our 3rd stay, and the second time we had a room in T'Gallants, we had a view back up Charlestown Road. The room was clean and cosy, though the en-suite was very compact though functional. Breakfasts were good with a good variety, and...More

We booked for nights at the Rashleigh Saturday -Wednesday. On arrival our standard room at the separate building over the road had been upgraded to the suite which was a lovely surprise. The suite itself appeared to be two rooms knocked into one with a...More

The Rashliegh has some fine staff. We found them all, without exception, to be courteous and helpful. They are definitely the hotel's chief asset. The public rooms are fairly new and nicely decorated though it does feel as if you are eating in a canteen....More
