My husband and I went there for a couples, spa day (well half a day) The treatments were very good, staff very attentive and friendly. Facilities were excellent. Had a lovely swim in the pool. The only thing we would mention, is that the Jacuzzi could have been a bit warmer.

Positives: 1. Breakfast was very good - pastries fresh not dry, sausages tasty not fatty 2. Luxury double room very spacious - nice to have a wide balcony to sit out on, good size bath 3. Acorns Brasserie - food very good quality, fish specials were good, and was comparably priced to restaurants in the area 4. Staff very polite...

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. It was clean, comfortable and stylish. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. We had booked a spa break and enjoyed a massage and facial as well as the facilities ( sauna, steam room and whirlpool). The only negative thing was they tried to charge us double on...

From the exterior, the hotel looks quite unassuming and classic, yet inside it is ultra modern, well decorated and spacious. The rooms have beautiful views over the grounds and provide a peaceful retreat for a weekend break. Service is prompt, from cheerful staff - and whilst we only had breakfast at the hotel, food was great. Visited the spa and...

First the good things: everywhere was very clean, the food was good and the fine dining in the main restaurant was excellent. The spa was good (we had treatments) with friendly staff. The infinity swimming pool was very nice and would have been even better if the weather had been kinder as there are bi-fold doors that fold back on...

Bit of an odd place this, we booked via secret escapes and got a mega deal. This hotel should be double or treble the price. What it misses and maybe why it isn't more expensive is adult supervision. The staff are all young and clearly having a great time, they could be a lot more customer focused. That's not to...

Wanted somewhere near Lost Gardens of Helligan to make a pleasant weekend away. This offered a lovely spa/gym and relaxing bedrooms. We only stayed one night but could happily have extended it to two. The gym offered modern equipment and the spa was clean and welcoming. Bedroom had a warm comfortable design although the 'open' shower/bed/bathroom idea may not appeal...

We were in St Austell for a weekend of golf and wanted to stay somewhere nice instead of the usual B & B's we stay in. The hotel was lovely, our room & balcony spacious & well appointed (a luxury room), and the breakfast was good. We had dinner in the Acorn Restaurant, which was ok but nothing special (we...

We spent three nights at the cornwall. The house itself is lovely and although fairly near the road its not too disruptive. I asked to change our room as we were in the new chalet style rooms overlooking the entrance to the hotel and i thought it would be noisy. We moved nearer the spa, only to realise later that...
