Dropped in for a bar lunch to see if previous experiences were maintained. It was a fine day so we ate on the terrace. Noted that there were not enough sun umbrellas for the number of tables. The woodwork on the outside of the hotel looks in need of redecoration. We understand that the hotel will shortly undergo a refurb...

We spent 3 nights at The Cornwall we had a lovely stay. The hotel location and grounds were excellent. Staff were all really helpful and extremely friendly made us feel welcome. Spa treatments were relaxing and swimming pool facilities good.

We found this hotel on Secret Escapes and I feel it was very good value. We stayed for two nights and I thought the twin room was spacious and well decorated, it also had a large balcony with a lovely view of the estate. The bathroom was again, large and well appointed with a fabulous shower! I understand there are...

Having read some of the awful reviews I was a little dubious about whether or not my family of 5 were going to enjoy being here. However, I must say what a pleasant surprise. The staff have been nothing but polite and friendly and the barman even mad my three children a virgin cocktail which they loved. I have just...

A well equipped hotel when everything is working. Only stayed one night and during that time the swimming pool was closed and the fire alarm went off and we spent an hour and a half in our dressing gowns and a good 15 mins outside in the pouring rain. Speaking to other guest we gatherd this was the 2nd time...

We have just returned from 3 nights at the Cornwall and really wishing we hadn't - we want to be back in the tranquil surroundings, looking out at the beautiful grounds and relaxing in the spa. We were impressed at the quality of the customer service, the friendly smiley staff brightened our day, remembered our son and went that extra...

I have seen some mixed reviews on here but my experience was excellent. Check in was very efficient and polite and each time I called reception they were very professional and polite. My room was one of the modern ones at the back, overlooking the grounds. I thought it was fantastic. I lovely balcony, big room with an obscenely comfortable...

The hotel has been well designed, in terms of decoration, the grounds are naturalistic but bordering on looking untidy. We stayed for three nights and on our first night we ate in the Arboretum restaurant, this was not s good experience. The menu choice was limited and I ended up having a starter from the Brasserie Menu, as the starter...

My husband surprised me with a weekend away at this beautiful hotel. We were made very welcome and although we were too early to check into the room by the time we had eaten lunch and had a glass of wine the receptionist came to inform us our room was ready. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though I did...
