We stayed here last night in rooms 3 and 6. It was a truly splendid stay! We were greeted warmly by Francesca and were shown around the accommodation. Our rooms were well decorated and had good views. We had dinner in the restuarant and outstanding is an understatement with great value for money thrown in! Before breakfast my boyfriend and...

We've visited this restaurant on and off going back over the last 25 years with each of the different owners and no one seemed to make a go of the place. The current owners however are welcoming and friendly and it's great to see that they are developing the site and making a real difference. We ate there last night...

The hotel was very cosy and sweet. There is a conservatory where a lovely breakfast is served. The conservatory extends into a beautiful garden that extends into the woods. There is a lovely path to follow along a stream, which makes for a great walk. Staff are very friendly, and location is ideal to access the Cornish sites!

The Waterwheel Inn is a very good place to stay. The well organised staff are professional and helpful. The food is excellent especially breakfast (we liked the homemade marmalades). The rooms and environs were sea-side themed and very tasteful. We loved the conservatory and the gardens. Francesca and Mark are perfect hosts.

Our second stay at the Waterwheel in as many months! We were so happy to have found this place on our first visit in October and we didn't think twice when we were visiting St. Austell again in December. Francesca and Mark are lovely people, the rooms are spotless and comfortable and as for the food......! We would recommend to...

Lovely hosts and wonderful food, excellent base to explore Cornwall. Kernow the Black Lab was the star of the visit. Great start to each day with the awesome Breakfast. Although building work was in progress, this did not impact on our stay.

The hardworking hosts are making a real success of this above average B & B. They are very hospitable and keen to please. The accommodation is clean and well equipped and the breakfasts choices are comprehensive, freshly prepared and incorporate home made preserves, local produce and are generous setting you up for a days sight seeing. There is a wide...

Staying with 2 friends in Nov 2016 as we would like to see the "Eden Project" nearby. The inn has 3 beds room which is quite rare to find even in big hotels. The hosts were so friendly and nice made us feel like home. The room was clean and comfy, plenty of coffee and teas and a water kettle...
