A pleasant enough hotel but it is clearly devoted to the coach tour trade.
When we visited a small group on a coach tour was staying. There was no one at reception to book us in, no one at the bar to serve us and we could only eat in the restaurant either early at 5.30pm or muc

We were brought a one night db&b from a friend as a wedding present. So we’re looking forward to a nice meal and a night away.

The hotel room was clean and all the staff were very pleasant. Check in was simple. Dinner was booked for 7pm.

This is the main reason I only gave a 2

I can only really say that we keep returning! The third consecutive year we have booked a short break at the Best Western Fowey Valley. We only live a 50 minute drive away but it feels like being cocooned in caring comfort from check in to check out.
Rooms are spotlessly clean an

We stayed two nights with breakfast and evening meals. A warm welcome greeted us on arrival and our room was roomy, well presented and warm (it was a very cold day). Breakfast and evening meals were very good, all served efficiently with a friendly smile. For anyone visiting the

Hi. We have booked a coach trip over Xmas which was supposed to have been staying somewhere else but it seems we are now staying at this hotel. We are really disappointed as we had chosen the tour especially for the original hotel. We were originally having a room with a seating area in a bay window overlooking the sea . The hotel had a really cosy lounge area where we would have been able to sit and read etc, so you can see why I am feeling gutted. We have never been away for Xmas before and it is my birthday and anniversary a couple of weeks later, and my husbands 60th a week or so after that so it was a "special treat" for us. Can you reassure me at all about this one? It's probably fine but it isn't what we had booked so we feel cheated really. We have paid extra to have a superior room if this makes any difference..
Hi I have stayed here many times and have always found the service to be exemplary, the locally sourced food is excellent and the staff very helpful and customer focused. Simon the manager and Jane the deputy cannot do enough, I love staying here. Phil

Hallo, we are coming next week monday for 2 nights, my husband will be of working most of the day. I shall be in and around the hotel. I love swimming, hope the pool is warmed up. Is there more for me to do, like nice walks, shopping etc? Paula Graafland. Thanks!
Many thanks for your message, we are situated in a pretty town with many walks by the river, a few shops and a lovely castle. Please see our website for more information. Our pool is open everyday from 7am-10pm, and yes it is heated.Simon
