Stayed a night here. The hotel is a bit tired but the room was comfortable enough - the bed especially so. Smallest en suite ever but a good shower. The entrance area is not very welcoming but the staff were. Parking is limited but free

Very comfortable bed. Very old place, but we liked that. Not good if you can't climb the stairs to your room. Our room faced the kitchen so felt we had to keep the blinds closed all the time. No hairdryer, not many plug sockets, had to unplug lamp to charge our phones. Wifi very slow, when you can get on...

This is a privately owned very ancient hotel, it is situated right in the centre of the town of Helston. It started off life as the 'Town House' for the wealthy Godolphin Family whose mansion was used for the final 'on-fire' scene in the original Poldark series. It is open to the public for meals and for the use of...

I would not recommend staying here at all. To call it a hotel is a disgrace. No one runs the reception its constantly locked. Given a room that was unfit to sleep in due a noise from something or other. Told no more rooms available and then took over 1 and a half hrs of messing about to be offered...

We managed to park around the back of the hotel and the check in was fine apart from pay up front for your stay, that always makes me suspicious,The room was tatty but clean and the bedding was also clean and comfy, then there was the toilet. The toilet had no mains outlet connected, I can only assume it was...

My wife and I had booked one night at this hotel and found it to be all we wanted. We only had Bed and Breakfast so it would be wrong for me to comment on anything else. Parking is at a real premium and is located at the back of the hotel down a narrow passageway. A workman kindly moved...

Decided to go to the Angel Hotel as it seemed like an up market location to eat in the town. Ordered the Angel Burger for myself and grilled chicken for my mum. We were the third table in the restaurant, based on so few people we assumed that the time it was taking to get the food out was because...

This is a tricky one. The Angel provides the basics, a comfy bed, a great breakfast and a good location are the highlights. Apart from that the hotel is generally shabby and could do with a make over but they do provide everything you need. Don't expect luxury.

I arrived on the evening of the 4th March and stayed for two nights. My first impression of the room was that it was a bit shabby and that the furniture was an eclectic mix of old things. Whilst unpacking I realised that there was not a wardrobe. I discovered a discarded chocolate bar wrapper by the side of the...

The hotel was very well paced for visiting various places on a whistle stop tour. The Room was warm and cosy, and as others had said a little dated. But is was clean and the bed was very comfy. The Breasfast was amazing and meant lunch was not always needed! I didn't try the shower but my partner washed his...
